Always use gloves when handling food waste and compost. Avoid composting sharp objects or materials that may harbor harmful microorganisms. Keep the composter in a well-ventilated area and away from children and pets. Do not compost meat, dairy, or diseased plants.

Configuració

Desembalatge i inspecció inicial

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all parts are present: the main Lomi unit, power cable, instruction manual, LomiPods, and LomiFilters.

The Lomi unit utilizes a dual-filter design to neutralize odors.

Locate the back filter compartment. Open it and fill the filter with the provided activated charcoal. Close the compartment securely.

Top Charcoal Filter Pod

Open the top filter pod and fill it with the remaining activated charcoal. Securely close the pod and place it back into its designated slot.

Open the Lomi lid by twisting it counter-clockwise and lifting. Place food waste into the removable 3-liter bucket. Do not fill above the maximum fill line indicated inside the bucket.

Lomi Modes

Lomi offers three distinct modes for composting, each optimized for different needs:

• Grow Mode (14-16 hours): Preserves microorganisms for nutrient-rich dirt, ideal for gardening.
• Eco-Express (3-5 hours): Fastest result with lowest energy consumption.
• Lomi Approved (5-8 hours): For food waste and Lomi Approved packaging and products.

Començar un Cicle

Close the lid by aligning the red arrows and twisting clockwise until secure. To select a mode, press and hold the main power button for 3 seconds to cycle through Grow, Eco-Express, and Lomi Approved. Once your desired mode is selected, press the main button for 1 second to start the cycle. The button will light blue.

As the cycle progresses through drying, mixing, and cooling phases, the corresponding lights will illuminate green. Upon completion, the main button will turn green, and all cycle lights will be green.

Lomi can process a variety of organic materials, including fruits, vegetables, meat, dairy, yard waste, bread, grains, and Lomi Approved items.

Manteniment

Cleaning the Lomi Bucket

The 3-liter removable bucket is dishwasher safe for easy cleaning. For stubborn residue, soak the bucket before cleaning.

The internal bucket can be easily removed for cleaning.

Lomi filters should be replaced regularly to maintain optimal odor neutralization. Refer to the indicator lights on the unit for filter replacement reminders.

If your Lomi unit is not functioning as expected, consider the following common issues:

• La unitat no arrenca: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into both the Lomi unit and the wall outlet. Check if the main button is lit blue after selecting a mode.
• Baked-on compost: If compost is sticking to the bottom of the bucket, it may be due to excessive moisture or certain food types. Try reducing the moisture content of your scraps or pre-chopping fibrous items. Soaking the bucket can help loosen stubborn residue.
• Olors inusuals: Ensure filters are properly installed and not expired. Replace filters if necessary. Avoid composting items listed in the "Don'ts" section.
• Lid difficult to close: Ensure the bucket is correctly seated and aligned with the red arrows before attempting to close the lid.
