The Beikell M.2 NVME Enclosure is a sleek, portable device designed to house M.2 NVME and SATA SSDs, transforming them into high-speed external storage. It comes with two cables for versatile connectivity.

3. Compatibilitat

4. Configuració i instal·lació

4.1. Hardware Installation (Tool-Free)

The Beikell M.2 NVME Enclosure features a tool-free design for easy SSD installation.

1. Obriu el recinte: Press and hold the "OPEN" button located at the end of the enclosure and gently push the plastic inner frame outwards.
2. Inseriu SSD: Carefully insert your M.2 NVME or SATA SSD into the designated slot on the inner frame. Ensure it is fully seated.
3. SSD segur: Rotate the fixing buckle 180 degrees to secure the SSD in place. There are four notches for different SSD lengths (2230/2242/2260/2280).
4. Apply Thermal Pad (Optional but Recommended): Peel off the protective film from both sides of the thermal silicone pad. Place the pad onto the SSD chip area to aid in heat dissipation.
5. Tancament tancat: Push the plastic inner frame back into the aluminum enclosure until it clicks securely into place.

4.2. Initializing a New Hard Disk

When inserting a brand new hard disk for the first time, it will need to be initialized and formatted before it can be used. This process varies slightly depending on your operating system. The video below demonstrates the steps for Windows, Mac OS, and Linux systems.

4.2.1. Sistema Windows

1. Right-click on "This PC" (or "My Computer") and select "Manage".
2. In the Computer Management window, navigate to "Storage" > "Disk Management".
3. Locate the newly added disk, which will likely appear as "Unallocated".
4. Right-click on the unallocated space and select "New Simple Volume".
5. Follow the New Simple Volume Wizard, keeping the default values for most options.
6. When prompted for the File System, select "exFAT" for broad compatibility across different operating systems.
7. Complete the wizard. The new drive will now appear in "This PC".

4.2.2. Sistema Mac OS

1. Utilitzeu la combinació de tecles Command + Spacebar to open the Spotlight Search function.
2. Type "Disk Utility" in the search bar and click to open "Disk Utility".
3. In Disk Utility, select the newly added external disk from the sidebar.
4. Click the "Erase" button in the toolbar.
5. Fill in a name for the hard disk.
6. For the Format, select "ExFAT" for cross-platform compatibility.
7. Click "Erase" and wait for the process to complete. A hard disk icon will appear on your desktop.

4.2.3. Linux System

1. Right-click on "Applications" and select "Utilities".
2. From the Utilities menu, select "Disks".
3. In the Disks utility, locate and click on the newly added hard disk.
4. Click the "+" button to create a new partition, then select "Next".
5. Fill in the name of the disk.
6. Keep the default values for the subsequent options or choose "For use with all systems and devices (FAT)" for maximum compatibility.
7. Select "Create" and wait for the process to complete. A hard disk icon will appear on your desktop.

• Use the USB-C to USB-C cable for direct connection to USB-C ports on modern devices.

The device is plug-and-play, requiring no additional drivers or software for basic functionality once the SSD is formatted.

6.2. Atenció general

• Mantingueu la carcassa neta i sense pols. Feu servir un drap suau i sec per netejar-la.

• Ensure proper disconnection (ejecting the drive from your operating system) before unplugging to prevent data corruption.
