1. Introducció
This manual provides instructions for the assembly, operation, and maintenance of your Discovery Spark 769 EQ Reflecting Telescope. Designed for beginners, this Newtonian reflector telescope is suitable for observing both deep-sky objects such as nebulae, star clusters, and distant galaxies, as well as celestial bodies within our solar system, including the Moon and planets.
For an enhanced understanding of astronomy, refer to the included book, "Space. Non-Empty Emptiness".

3. Configuració
Follow these steps to assemble your telescope:
- Muntatge del trípode: Extend the legs of the aluminum tripod to a stable height. Secure the accessory tray to the center brace of the tripod.
- Mounting the Equatorial Mount: Attach the EQ2 equatorial mount to the top of the tripod. Ensure it is securely fastened.
- Col·locació del contrapès: Slide the counterweight onto the counterweight bar and secure the bar to the equatorial mount. Adjust its position later for balance.
- Mounting the Optical Tube: Place the telescope optical tube into the tube ring and attach it to the equatorial mount. Ensure the tube is balanced.
- Instal·lació del Finderscope: Attach the 5x24 optical finderscope to its designated bracket on the optical tube.
- Inserció d'oculars: Insert the desired eyepiece (e.g., H 20mm for initial setup) into the focuser. If using the Barlow lens, insert it first, then the eyepiece into the Barlow lens.

4. Instruccions de funcionament
Operating your Discovery Spark 769 EQ Telescope involves several key steps to ensure optimal viewing:
- Alineació del Finderscope: Before observing, align the finderscope with the main telescope. Point the main telescope at a distant, stationary object during daylight. Look through the finderscope and adjust its alignment screws until the object is centered in both the finderscope and the main telescope's eyepiece.
- Selecció d'un ocular: Start with the lowest magnification eyepiece (e.g., H 20mm) for a wider field of view, making it easier to locate objects. Once an object is found, you can switch to higher magnification eyepieces (H 12.5mm, SR 4mm) or use the 2x Barlow lens for more detailed views.
- Enfocament: Look through the eyepiece and slowly turn the focuser knob until the image appears sharp and clear.
- Tracking Celestial Objects: The equatorial mount allows you to track celestial objects as they move across the sky due to Earth's rotation. Once an object is centered, use the slow-motion control knobs to make fine adjustments and keep the object in view.
- Observing the Moon and Planets: Use various eyepieces to explore the Moon's craters and the visible features of planets.
- Observing Deep-Sky Objects: For nebulae and galaxies, darker skies away from light pollution are recommended. Use lower magnification eyepieces to gather more light and observe these fainter objects.

Using the "Space. Non-Empty Emptiness" Book
The included knowledge book is an excellent resource for understanding astronomical concepts and identifying objects in the night sky. It provides illustrated information to guide your observations.

5. Manteniment
Proper care and maintenance will ensure the longevity and performance of your telescope:
- Òptiques de neteja: Dust on the primary mirror or eyepieces should be removed with a soft brush or compressed air designed for optics. For smudges or fingerprints, use a specialized optical cleaning solution and a microfiber cloth. Avoid touching optical surfaces directly.
- Emmagatzematge: When not in use, store the telescope in a dry, dust-free environment. Cover the optical tube with its dust caps to protect the mirror and focuser.
- Manipulació: Always handle the telescope and its components with care to prevent damage. Avoid sudden impacts or dropping.
- Protecció del medi ambient: Do not expose the telescope to extreme temperatures or humidity. Avoid observing in heavy rain or snow.

6. Solució De Problemes
Si teniu problemes durant el funcionament, tingueu en compte els següents problemes i solucions habituals:
- Imatges borroses:
- Adjust the focuser knob slowly until the image is sharp.
- Ensure the eyepiece is fully inserted and secured.
- Check for condensation or dirt on the eyepiece or main mirror.
- Verify that the finderscope is properly aligned.
- Difficulty Finding Objects:
- Ensure the finderscope is accurately aligned with the main telescope.
- Start with the lowest magnification eyepiece (H 20mm) for a wider field of view.
- Practice locating bright objects like the Moon or bright stars first.
- Inestable View:
- Ensure the tripod legs are fully extended and locked, and the telescope is on a stable, level surface.
- Tighten all knobs and screws on the mount and tripod.
- Balance the optical tube with the counterweight on the equatorial mount.
- No Image Visible:
- Remove all lens caps from the front of the telescope and the eyepiece.
- Ensure an eyepiece is inserted into the focuser.
- Check if the finderscope is aligned and you are looking through the correct end of the eyepiece.
