This manual provides essential instructions for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of your Walfront ATU-130 Automatic Antenna Tuner. • Font d'alimentació: Use a stable DC power supply within the specified voltage range of 10-15VDC. Ensure correct polarity (+ in the center).

3.2 Components

The ATU-130 consists of the main tuner unit and a power connection cable.

4. Configuració

Follow these steps to set up your ATU-130 Automatic Antenna Tuner:

1. Connectar l'alimentació: Connect the provided power cable to the GND-12V input on the rear panel of the tuner. Ensure the power supply is 10-15VDC with the positive (+) in the center.
2. Connecta la ràdio: Connect your shortwave radio's RF output to the 'IN' radio frequency line connector on the rear panel of the tuner.
3. Connectar l'antena: Connect your antenna to the 'ANT' connector on the rear panel. The tuner supports various antenna types including long line, GP, inverted V, bipolar, and end-fed antennas.
4. Encès: Flip the 'POWER' switch on the front panel to the ON position.

5. Instruccions de funcionament

The ATU-130 offers both automatic and manual tuning modes.

5.1 Automatic Tuning Mode

1. Ensure all connections are secure and the tuner is powered on.
2. Press the 'AUTO' button to engage automatic tuning mode. The display will indicate the tuning process.
3. Transmit a low power signal (5-15W) in AM, FM, or CW mode. The tuner will automatically adjust to achieve an SWR of 1.5:1 or lower.
4. Once tuned, you can increase power to your desired operating level, respecting the maximum power limits.

5.2 Manual Tuning Mode

1. To enter manual mode, press the 'AUTO' button once. The small dot in the middle of the screen (LC indicator) will disappear, indicating manual mode is active.
2. In manual mode, you can use the 'TUNE' button to initiate a tuning cycle. This allows for more precise control or to reset the LC combination to zero if needed.
3. Press 'AUTO' again to switch back to automatic mode.

5.3 Mode bypass

Press the 'BYPASS' button to bypass the tuning circuit. In this mode, the tuner acts as a straight-through connection, and the display can show approximate power meter and SWR readings. Note that the accuracy of these readings is lower than professional meters and should be used for reference only.

6. Manteniment

The Walfront ATU-130 is designed for reliable operation with minimal maintenance.

• Neteja: Feu servir un drap suau i sec per netejar l'exterior de la unitat. No utilitzeu netejadors líquids ni dissolvents.
• Inspecció: Comproveu periòdicament totes les connexions dels cables per comprovar si estan ben ajustades i si hi ha signes de desgast.
• Emmagatzematge: When not in use for extended periods, store the tuner in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and dust.
