1. Desembalatge i col·locació

Carefully remove the Calix GigaCenter 844G-1 from its packaging. Place the device in a central location in your home or office, away from obstructions, large metal objects, and other electronic devices that may cause interference. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.

2. Identifying Ports and Indicators

Familiarize yourself with the ports on the rear of the device and the indicator lights on the front panel.

3. Connexió del dispositiu

1. Connexió d'alimentació: Connect the power adapter (not included with this specific product, but required for operation) to the "POWER" port on the rear of the GigaCenter and then plug it into an electrical outlet.
2. Broadband Connection: Connect your internet service provider's (ISP) line (e.g., DSL, Fiber Optic) to the appropriate "BROADBAND" or "WAN" port on the device. This port is typically located near the power input.
3. Ethernet Devices (Optional): For wired connections, connect Ethernet cables from your computers, gaming consoles, or other network devices to any of the "ETHERNET 1-4" ports.
4. Telephone Devices (Optional): If your service includes VoIP, connect analog telephones to the "PHONE 1" or "PHONE 2" ports.

Once all connections are made, power on the device. Allow several minutes for the GigaCenter to boot up and establish an internet connection. The indicator lights will change as the device initializes.

Understanding the LED indicators helps in monitoring the device's status:

• POTÈNCIA: Solid Green indicates the device is powered on.
• BROADBAND: Solid Green indicates a successful connection to the broadband network. Blinking indicates data activity.
• SERVEI: Solid Green indicates the device has successfully registered with the service provider.
• WIFI 2.4 GHz / WIFI 5 GHz: Solid Green indicates the respective Wi-Fi band is active. Blinking indicates data activity.
• ETHERNET 1-4: Solid Green indicates a wired device is connected. Blinking indicates data activity.
• PHONE 1-2: Solid Green indicates the phone line is active. Blinking indicates a call in progress.
• USB: Solid Green indicates a USB device is connected. Blinking indicates data activity.

Connexió a Wi-Fi

To connect your wireless devices (laptops, smartphones, tablets) to the GigaCenter's Wi-Fi network:

1. Locate the Wi-Fi Network Name (SSID) and Password (WPA Key) on the label at the bottom of your GigaCenter.

2. On your wireless device, open the Wi-Fi settings and search for available networks.
3. Select the SSID that matches the one on your GigaCenter's label.
4. Enter the WPA Key when prompted.
5. Alternatively, you can use the WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) button on the front of the device for quick connection with WPS-compatible devices. Press the WPS button on the GigaCenter, then activate WPS on your device within two minutes.

The default IP Address for administration is 192.168.1.1 with default User/Password: admin/c1475366. It is highly recommended to change the default password for security reasons after initial setup.

• Reiniciant: If you experience network issues, a simple restart of the GigaCenter can often resolve them. Disconnect the power adapter, wait 10 seconds, then reconnect it.
