• This appliance is designed for cleaning cold and warm wood ash only. Do not vacuum hot ash, embers, or flammable materials. Ash must be below 100°F (40°C).
• Always ensure the power cord is unplugged from the electrical outlet before performing any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing the vacuum.
• Do not operate the vacuum with a damaged cord or plug. If the cord or plug is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or a qualified service agent to avoid hazards.
• Do not use the vacuum on wet surfaces or for vacuuming liquids. This is a dry ash vacuum.

Muntatge i configuració

The Vacmaster EAV508S 1101 is designed for quick and easy setup. Follow these steps to prepare your vacuum for use.

1. Desempaquetar components: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all parts listed in the accessories section are present.
2. Fixeu les rodes: Turn the collection tank upside down. Insert the caster foot assemblies into the designated slots on the bottom of the tank until they click securely into place.
3. Connecteu la mànega: Insert the flexible hose into the vacuum port on the side of the collection tank. Twist clockwise to secure it.
4. Attach Metal Wand: Connect the metal wand to the end of the flexible hose. Ensure a snug fit.
5. Comprova el filtre: Verify that the HEPA cartridge filter is properly installed inside the collection tank, beneath the powerhead. The filter is essential for effective ash collection and motor protection.
6. Secure Powerhead: Place the powerhead onto the collection tank, aligning it correctly. Secure the latches on both sides of the tank to firmly hold the powerhead in place.

Funcionament

Follow these guidelines for safe and effective operation of your ash vacuum cleaner.

• Ensure the ash you intend to vacuum is completely cold or warm (below 100°F / 40°C). Never vacuum hot ash or embers.
• Check that the collection tank is empty and the filter is clean and properly installed.

Vacuuming Ash

1. Turn on the vacuum by pressing the On/Off switch located on the powerhead.
2. Using the metal wand, carefully vacuum the ash from your fireplace, wood stove, pellet stove, or BBQ grill. Move the wand slowly over the ash to ensure thorough collection.
3. Monitoritzar el viewing window (fill level indicator) on the powerhead to gauge the amount of ash collected.
4. If suction power decreases during operation, the filter may be clogged. Use the integrated filter cleaning switch (if available on your model) by pressing it a few times to dislodge ash from the filter. If suction does not improve, the filter may need manual cleaning or replacement (refer to the Maintenance section).
5. Once you have finished vacuuming or the tank is full, turn off the vacuum and unplug it from the power outlet.

2. Unlatch the clips on the sides of the collection tank and carefully lift off the powerhead.
3. Remove the HEPA cartridge filter by twisting and pulling it upwards. Gently tap the filter over a trash receptacle to dislodge accumulated ash.
4. Carefully empty the ash from the stainless steel collection tank into a suitable, fire-resistant container.

• The integrated filter cleaning feature allows for quick ash removal from the filter during operation by pressing the filter cleaning switch.
• For a more thorough cleaning, remove the filter as described above and gently tap it to remove loose ash. You may also use a soft brush to clean the pleats.
• Do not wash the HEPA filter with water, as this can damage the filter material and reduce its effectiveness.
• Replace the filter when it becomes excessively dirty or damaged, or if suction power significantly decreases even after cleaning. Replacement filters are available from Vacmaster authorized dealers.
