1. Introducció

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Ecowitt WS3900 Wi-Fi Weather Station. The system includes a multi-function WS69 outdoor sensor and a 7.5-inch color LCD indoor console (WS3900_C), designed to provide comprehensive weather monitoring data.

The Ecowitt WS3900 Weather Station consists of two primary units:

2.1. WS69 Outdoor Sensor Array

The WS69 is a 7-in-1 wireless outdoor sensor array that measures various environmental parameters. It integrates a thermohygrometer, rain gauge, wind speed sensor, wind direction sensor, light sensor, and UV sensor. The unit is powered by two AA batteries (not included) and supplemented by a solar panel for extended operation.

2.2. WS3900_C Indoor Console

The WS3900_C is a 7.5-inch color LCD display console that serves as the central hub for your weather data. It features an integrated indoor temperature/humidity sensor and a barometric pressure sensor. The console supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing data to be viewed remotely via the Ecowitt app or web browser. It also functions as an IoT gateway for pairing with other Ecowitt IoT devices (sold separately).

3. Guia d'instal·lació

3.1. WS69 Outdoor Sensor Installation

1. Instal·lació de la bateria: Open the battery compartment on the WS69 outdoor sensor. Insert two AA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment securely.
2. Lloc de muntatge: Choose an open location for the outdoor sensor, free from obstructions that could affect wind, rain, or sunlight measurements. Ensure it is easily accessible for maintenance.
3. Muntatge: Mount the WS69 sensor onto a pole with a diameter of 1 to 2 inches (approximately 2.5 to 5 cm). Ensure the sensor is level using the integrated bubble level. The solar panel should face south for optimal charging.

3.2. WS3900_C Indoor Console Setup

1. Powering the Console: The console can be powered by a DC 5V 1A adapter (not included) or by three AA batteries (not included). Insert batteries into the compartment on the back, or connect the DC adapter.
2. Configuració Wi-Fi: The console requires Wi-Fi connectivity to upload data to the Ecowitt cloud. There are two methods for Wi-Fi setup:

4. Instruccions de funcionament

4.1. Displaying Data on WS3900_C Console

Once the outdoor sensor and indoor console are set up and connected, the WS3900_C console will display a variety of weather data. This includes outdoor temperature and humidity, wind speed and direction, rainfall data (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, total), UV index, light intensity, indoor temperature and humidity, barometric pressure, and a weather forecast.

4.2. Sensor Compatibility and Data Display

The WS3900_C console can display data from various Ecowitt sensors (sold separately). Sensors whose data can be directly displayed on the WS3900_C console include:

• WS90 Compact Sensor Array
• WS80 Anemometer Sensor
• WS68 Anemometer Sensor
• WH40 Rain Gauge Sensor
• WN32 Outdoor Thermo-Hygrometer Sensor
• WN32P Indoor Thermo-Hygrometer and Barometric Pressure Sensor
• WH45/WH46 Air Quality Sensor
• WN31/WN30/WN36 Sensors (up to 8 channels)

Certain other Ecowitt sensors can be paired with the console to upload their data to the Ecowitt cloud, but their readings will not be displayed directly on the console screen. These include:

• WH57 Flash Detector Sensor
• WH41/WH43 PM2.5 Detection Sensors (up to 4 channels)
• WH55 Water Leak Detector Sensors (up to 4 channels)
• WH51/WH51L Soil Moisture Sensors (up to 8 channels)
• WN34L/WN34D/WN34S Temperature Sensors (up to 8 channels)
• WN35 Humidity Sensors (up to 8 channels)

4.3. Data Upload to Ecowitt Cloud

After successful Wi-Fi configuration, the WS3900_C console will automatically upload collected weather data to the Ecowitt cloud server. This allows you to monitor your weather station's data from anywhere using the Ecowitt app or weblloc.

5. Manteniment

• WS69 Outdoor Sensor: Replace the two AA batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the console. Ensure the solar panel is clean to maximize charging efficiency.
• WS3900_C Indoor Console: If using battery power, replace the three AA batteries when the low battery indicator appears. If using the DC adapter, ensure a stable power supply.

• No Data Displayed:
  • Check if both the outdoor sensor and indoor console have fresh batteries or are properly powered.

  • Verify there are no significant obstructions (thick walls, large metal objects) between the sensor and console.
• Lectures incorrectes:
  • Vent: Ensure the wind cups and wind vane rotate freely and are not obstructed.
  • Pluja: Check the rain gauge funnel for debris.
  • Temperatura/humitat: Ensure sensors are not exposed to direct sunlight or heat sources that could skew readings.
