1. Introducció

3. Muntatge

The Pit Boss Navigator Series grill requires assembly. It is recommended to have two people for assembly. Ensure all parts are present before beginning.

  1. Attach the reinforced legs to the main body of the grill. Ensure locking caster wheels are properly installed on the designated legs.
  2. Secure the hopper assembly to the side of the grill.
  3. Install the cooking grates and heat deflector inside the main barrel.
  4. Attach the convertible front-to-bottom shelf and built-in tool hooks.
  5. Connect the digital control board and meat probes.

4. Initial Setup and First Use (Burn-In)

Before cooking food, it is crucial to perform an initial burn-in to season the grill and remove any manufacturing oils or residues.

  1. Pellet Loading: Open the hopper lid and fill the hopper with 100% all-natural hardwood pellets. The large pellet view window allows monitoring of pellet levels.
  2. Encès: Plug the grill into a grounded electrical outlet. The digital control board will illuminate.
  3. Posada en marxa inicial: Turn the dial to "Smoke" or the lowest temperature setting (e.g., 180°F). Allow the grill to ignite and produce smoke. This may take several minutes.

  • Braise: Slow cooking with liquid, perfect for tenderizing tough cuts of meat.
  • rostit: Higher temperatures for cooking larger cuts of meat or poultry.
  • Grill: Direct heat cooking for steaks, burgers, and vegetables.
  • Barbacoa: A combination of smoking and grilling, often with sauces.
  • Char-Grill: Achieving distinct grill marks and smoky flavor.
  • Sear: High-temperature cooking for a crispy exterior.

5.3 Flame Broiler Lever™

The innovative Flame Broiler Lever™ allows you to switch between direct and indirect heat cooking. Slide the lever to expose the flame for direct searing or close it for indirect cooking and smoking.
