2. Configuració i primers passos

2.1 Què hi ha a la caixa

Upon unboxing your LAUNCH X431 PRO Elite, ensure all components are present:

• LAUNCH X431 PRO ELITE Display Tablet x 1

2.2 Configuració inicial del dispositiu

Follow these steps to power on and prepare your device for first use:

1. Unboxing: Carefully remove all components from the hard carrying case.
2. Encès: Press and hold the power button until the LAUNCH logo appears on the screen.
3. Connexió Wi-Fi: Navigate to the device settings and connect to an available Wi-Fi network. A stable internet connection is crucial for software updates and online functions.
4. Activació del dispositiu: The device will prompt you to input the 12-digit device serial number found on the back of the unit or in the included documentation. Confirm the product serial number information and click OK to proceed.

2.3 Software Installation and Updates

After initial setup, you will need to download and install the diagnostic application and vehicle software packages. The LAUNCH X431 PRO Elite comes with 2 years of free software updates.

1. APP Initialization: From the main screen, select the 'APP Init' icon. Input the device serial number when prompted.
2. Download Diagnostic APP: The system will automatically download and install the main diagnostic application. Do not close the application during this process.
3. Concedir permisos: After installation, open the application and grant all necessary permissions (e.g., phone, camera, location, storage).

3.2 Control bidireccional (prova activa)

This feature allows the scanner to send commands to the vehicle's ECU and control actuators to perform specific tests. This helps in accurately locating faults by directly testing components such as injectors, fuel pumps, A/C clutches, and more. The device supports over 4000 active tests for fast and precise troubleshooting.

3.3 Codificació de la ECU

ECU Coding allows for customization of vehicle settings, reprogramming adaptive data after component replacements, activating hidden functions, or disabling unwanted features to optimize vehicle performance. This includes online coding, offline coding, component matching, retrofitting, and refreshing hidden features.

3.4 Special Functions and Reset Services

The device offers over 38 reset services and 100+ advanced special functions to address various maintenance and repair needs. These include, but are not limited to:

3.5 FCA AutoAuth Support

For 2017 and newer Fiat/Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep vehicles, the LAUNCH X431 PRO Elite supports FCA AutoAuth, allowing access to the security gateway module. This enables advanced diagnostic functions such as clearing codes, running bi-directional active tests, relearns, and even IMMO programming (pulls PIN & write), and ADAS calibration assistance.

3.6 CANFD & DoIP Protocols

The X431 PRO Elite supports CANFD and DoIP protocols, providing high-speed vehicle diagnostic communication and data transfer. This covers new vehicle models up to 2025, including GM vehicles produced after 2020, BMW F & G Chassis models, Jaguar & Land Rover after 2017, and Volvo after 2018.

3.7 Extensive Vehicle Coverage

The scanner is compatible with over 99% of OBD2/EOBD cars, covering more than 200,000 US, Asian, and European vehicles from over 200 car manufacturers (1984-2025). 4. Manteniment

4.1 Actualitzacions de programari

Regular software updates are crucial to ensure your diagnostic tool remains compatible with the latest vehicle models and functionalities. The LAUNCH X431 PRO Elite includes 2 years of free software updates. After this period, local functions will still be available, and updates can be renewed.
