Configuració

1. Instal·lació de la bateria

Insert the provided Li-ion battery into the compartment on the back of the radio. Ensure it clicks securely into place. To remove, slide the release latch and gently pull the battery out.

2. Fixació de l'antena

Screw the desired antenna (either the original or the 48cm tactical antenna) clockwise onto the connector at the top of the radio until it is finger-tight. Do not overtighten.

3. Carregant la bateria

The UV-16R offers two charging methods:

• Càrrega directa USB-C: Connect the provided Type-C charger cable directly to the USB-C port on the side of the radio. You can use a power bank, PC, car charger, or any USB adapter.
• Base del carregador: Place the radio into the provided charger base. Ensure the charging contacts align. The indicator light on the charger will show the charging status.

4. Attaching the PTT Microphone

Connect the single PTT waterproof microphone to the accessory jack on the side of the radio. Ensure a firm connection for proper operation.

Instruccions de funcionament

1. Encendre/apagar i control de volum

Rotate the top knob clockwise to power on the radio and increase volume. Rotate counter-clockwise to decrease volume and power off.

2. Selecció de canal i entrada de freqüència

Use the keypad to directly input frequencies or navigate through the 128 available channels. Refer to the radio's on-screen menu for specific channel programming instructions.

3. Transmissió i recepció

To transmit, press and hold the PTT (Push-to-Talk) button on the side of the radio or the external microphone. Speak clearly into the microphone. Release the PTT button to switch to receive mode.

4. Dual Watch and Sync Switchable Function

The Dual Watch function allows monitoring two different frequencies or channels simultaneously. The Sync function displays both the channel name and frequency information on the screen, which is useful for monitoring a single channel with full details.

6. LED High Power Torch

Activate the integrated LED torch for illumination. It supports both constant light and flash light modes, providing utility in low-light conditions.

Manteniment

1. Resistència a l'aigua

The UV-16R is rated IP45 for water resistance, meaning it is protected against water jets from any direction. While it can withstand splashes and light rain, it is not designed for submersion. Avoid prolonged exposure to heavy rain or accidental soaking.

2. Durability and Fall Resistance
