1. Introducció

This manual provides instructions for the safe and efficient use of your Brookstone Electric Wine Opener and Foil Cutter. This device is designed for effortless removal of corks from wine bottles, suitable for both natural and synthetic corks. Please read all instructions carefully before use.

3. Configuració

The Brookstone Electric Wine Opener requires 4 AA batteries for operation (batteries are not included). To install the batteries:

1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the wine opener unit.

4. Instruccions de funcionament

4.1 Removing the Foil Seal

Before opening the wine bottle, the foil seal must be removed.

1. Place the foil cutter on top of the wine bottle, gripping it firmly.
2. Squeeze the sides of the foil cutter and rotate it around the bottle neck to cut the foil.
3. Remove the foil cutter and discard the foil.

4.2 Opening the Wine Bottle

With the foil seal removed, you can now open the bottle.

1. Place the electric wine opener vertically on top of the wine bottle, ensuring it is centered over the cork.
2. Hold the bottle firmly with one hand and the opener with the other.
3. Press and hold the 'Down' button. The corkscrew will automatically rotate to penetrate the cork and pull it out of the bottle.
4. The opener will stop automatically once the cork is fully extracted. Lift the opener away from the bottle.

To release the cork from the opener:

1. Hold the wine opener away from the bottle.
2. Press and hold the 'Up' button. The corkscrew will rotate in the opposite direction, releasing the cork.
3. The cork will detach from the opener.

5. Manteniment

5.1 Neteja

Wipe the exterior of the wine opener and foil cutter with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the unit in water or other liquids. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

When the opener's performance diminishes, replace all 4 AA batteries with new ones. Refer to Section 3.1 for battery installation instructions.

• Opener does not work: Ensure batteries are correctly installed and are not depleted. Replace batteries if necessary.

• Cork breaks: This can occur with older or fragile corks, or if the opener is not perfectly centered. Carefully remove any remaining cork pieces from the bottle.
• Batteries drain quickly: Ensure the unit is turned off when not in use. If the issue persists, consider using high-quality alkaline batteries.
