Configuració
- Desembalatge: Carefully remove the PowerQuest 505 from its packaging. Inspect for any signs of damage.
- Col·locació: Position the PowerQuest 505 in a stable location, either on a flat surface or mounted in a standard 2RU rack using the included rack ears. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
- Connexió d'alimentació: Connect the provided PQ-715 detachable power cable to the IEC inlet on the rear of the PowerQuest 505. Plug the other end of the power cable into a grounded AC wall outlet.
- Connexió de components:
- For high-current devices such as power amplifiers, receivers, or powered subwoofers, use the High-Current Outlets (1-4).
- For source components like CD players, DACs, preamplifiers, or media streamers, use the Ultra-Linear Filtered Outlets (5-12).
- Encesa inicial: Once all connections are secure, flip the main power switch on the front panel of the PowerQuest 505 to the "ON" position. The "Protection On" indicator light should illuminate.

Instruccions de funcionament
The AudioQuest PowerQuest 505 operates automatically to provide clean power and surge protection. There are minimal user controls beyond the main power switch.
- Encès/apagat: Use the main power switch on the front panel to turn the unit on or off.
- Llums indicadores:
- "Protection On" (Green LED): This light indicates that the surge protection circuitry is active and functioning correctly. It should be illuminated whenever the unit is powered on.
- "Overvoltage Protection" (Red LED): This light illuminates if the incoming AC voltage exceeds a safe threshold (e.g., 140VAC), triggering the Extreme-Voltage Shutdown feature. The unit will automatically disengage power to protect connected equipment. Once the voltage returns to a safe level, the unit will automatically reset.
- Botó de restabliment: A reset button is located near the power inlet on the rear panel. In rare cases, if the unit does not power on after an event, you may press this button to reset the internal circuit breaker.
