Osmo 2K Wood Oil is a high-quality, solvent-free, matte finish, 2-component natural oil system designed for interior wood surfaces. It provides a durable and protective finish for wood flooring, stairs, and furniture. This product includes both the oil and a hardener component.

4. Configuració
4.1 Preparació de la superfície
- Ensure the wood surface is clean, dry, and free of dust, dirt, grease, and old finishes.
- Sand the surface thoroughly. For flooring, use 80/120 grit sandpaper. For furniture, use 180/220 grit sandpaper.
- Remove all sanding dust using a vacuum cleaner and then wipe the surface with a microfiber cloth.
4.2 Mixing the Components
- Before mixing, stir the main oil component (2K Wood Oil) thoroughly.
- Add the hardener (6633 Hardener) to the oil component in an 8:1 ratio (8 parts oil to 1 part hardener).
- Stir the mixture well for at least 2 minutes until both components are fully combined.
- Once mixed, the product has a pot time of 3-4 hours, meaning it must be applied within this timeframe.

5. Operating (Application)
- Apply the mixed oil thinly and evenly to the prepared wood surface using a scraper or a roller.
- Allow the oil to penetrate the wood for approximately 20-40 minutes.
- After the penetration time, buff off any excess oil thoroughly with a clean, lint-free cloth. Ensure no puddles or thick layers of oil remain on the surface.
- For optimal results, a single coat is typically sufficient.
6. Manteniment
To maintain the beauty and protection of your wood surfaces, regular cleaning with a mild, pH-neutral wood cleaner is recommended. For high-traffic areas or surfaces like kitchen worktops, re-oiling may be necessary every 12 months, or as needed, to replenish the finish and ensure continued protection.
7. Solució De Problemes
- Uneven Finish: Ensure the oil is applied thinly and evenly, and all excess is thoroughly buffed off. Uneven application or insufficient buffing can lead to shiny spots or an inconsistent appearance.
- Slow Drying: High humidity or low temperatures can extend the drying time. Ensure proper ventilation and maintain recommended environmental conditions. Applying too much oil can also slow drying.
- Insufficient Protection: If the surface does not repel water effectively after curing, it may indicate insufficient application or an issue with surface preparation. Ensure the wood is properly sanded and clean before application.
