• ADVERTIMENT: This unit is locked with no serviceable parts. The backup battery is not replaceable. If power is interrupted and the backup battery is dead or missing, maintenance and testing must be performed as indicated below. Exposure to high or low temperature or high humidity may reduce battery life.
• IMPORTANT: This unit can only be interconnected with other compatible smoke, CO, and/or heat alarms up to a maximum limit of 18 total, of which 12 can be smoke alarms. Refer to the user's manual for detailed instructions.
• IMPORTANT: This smoke alarm contains a maximum of 1.0 microcuries (37KBQ) of Americium 241, a radioactive material distributed under U.S. NRC License No. 12-23809-01E and is made in compliance with U.S. NRC safety criteria in 10CFR32.27. The purchaser is exempt from any regulatory requirements.

Follow these steps for proper installation of your First Alert SMI105-AC smoke alarm:

2. Remove Old Alarm (if applicable): Carefully remove any existing smoke alarm from its mounting bracket and disconnect its wiring.

The First Alert SMI105-AC smoke alarm is designed for simple operation and clear alerts:

• Alarm Guide:
  • 3 bips: Indicates a smoke alarm.
  • 3 Chirps every Minute: Indicates a malfunction. Replace the alarm.
  • 5 Chirps every Minute, LED Flashes 2 sec on/2 sec off: Indicates low battery. Replace the alarm.
  • 5 Chirps every Minute, 5 LED Flashes: Indicates end-of-life. Replace the alarm.

Manteniment

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and proper function of your smoke alarm:

• Neteja: Gently vacuum or use clean compressed air to remove accumulated dust monthly. Avoid using water, cleaners, or solvents, as these may damage the unit.
• Prova: Press the test button after installation, weekly, and after cleaning to check all alarm functions.
