3. Característiques clau
- Captivating Sound: Features a ø34mm gold-plated condenser diaphragm and a classic cardioid polar pattern for precise pickup and rich timbre. Offers a wide frequency response from 20Hz to 20KHz for detailed, high-resolution sound.
- Disseny avançat: Incorporates an updated ultra-low self-noise circuit to minimize microphone noise.
- Broadcast Quality: Capable of handling 140dB peak high SPL (Sound Pressure Level) to prevent overload distortion, suitable for various audio sources with accurate mid-range, deep low-frequency, and detailed high-frequency response.
- Reducció de soroll: Equivalent noise level ≤20dBA. Includes a low-cut mode to effectively reduce noise below 150Hz, ensuring pure recording sound.
- Pop Screen: Metal pop screen effectively breaks up airflow to prevent plosive sounds.

4. Configuració
- Fixeu el suport amortidor: Securely attach the shock mount to a compatible microphone stand. The shock mount helps isolate the microphone from vibrations and handling noise.
- Inseriu el micròfon: Carefully insert the TAKSTAR SM-10 microphone into the shock mount. Ensure it is firmly seated but not overly tightened to allow for proper isolation.
- Attach Pop Screen/Windscreen: For vocal recordings, attach the included pop screen or windscreen to minimize plosive sounds (P, B, T, K sounds) and protect the microphone capsule.
- Connecteu el cable XLR: Connect one end of an XLR cable (not included) to the microphone's XLR output.
- Connecteu-vos a la interfície d'àudio/mesclador: Connect the other end of the XLR cable to an audio interface or mixer that provides 48V phantom power. The SM-10 requires 48V phantom power to operate.
- Enable Phantom Power: Activate the 48V phantom power on your audio interface or mixer. The microphone will not function without it.

5. Funcionament
The SM-10 microphone is designed for straightforward operation. Familiarize yourself with its controls for optimal sound capture.
5.1 Sensitivity Attenuation (0dB / -10dB)
The microphone features a sensitivity attenuation switch to handle different sound pressure levels and prevent distortion.
- 0 dB: Standard sensitivity setting (-30dB±3dBV). Suitable for most vocal recordings and general use.
- -10 dB: Reduces sensitivity (-40dB±3dBV). Use this setting when recording very loud sound sources to prevent signal overload and distortion.
5.2 Low-Cut Filter
The low-cut filter helps to reduce unwanted low-frequency noise.
- Flat (No Low-Cut): Captures the full frequency range, ideal for sources with rich low-end.
- Low-Cut (150Hz): Activates a filter that reduces frequencies below 150Hz. This is useful for eliminating rumble, handling noise, air conditioning hum, or proximity effect when close-miking.

6. Polar Pattern
The TAKSTAR SM-10 features a classic cardioid polar pattern.
- Cardioide: This pattern is most sensitive to sounds coming from the front of the microphone and least sensitive to sounds coming from the rear. It effectively reduces background noise and feedback, making it ideal for vocal recording, podcasting, live streaming, and instrument miking in untreated rooms.

7. Manteniment
- Neteja: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the microphone body. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Emmagatzematge: When not in use, store the microphone in a dry, dust-free environment, preferably in its original packaging or a protective case.
- Humitat: Avoid exposing the microphone to high humidity or extreme temperatures, as this can damage the sensitive internal components.
- Manipulació: Handle the microphone with care. Avoid dropping it or subjecting it to strong impacts.
8. Solució De Problemes
- Sense sortida de so:
- Assegureu-vos que l'alimentació phantom de 48 V estigui habilitada a la vostra interfície d'àudio/mesclador.
- Check all XLR cable connections for proper seating.
- Verify that the microphone's sensitivity attenuation switch is not set too low for the sound source.
- Test with a different XLR cable or audio interface if possible.
- So distorsionat:
- If the sound is distorted, activate the -10dB sensitivity attenuation switch on the microphone.
- Redueix el guany d'entrada a la teva interfície/mesclador d'àudio.
- Ensure the sound source is not excessively loud for the microphone's SPL handling.
- Excessive Background Noise/Rumble:
- Activate the low-cut filter switch on the microphone to reduce frequencies below 150Hz.
- Ensure the microphone is properly mounted in the shock mount to minimize vibrations.
- Record in a quieter environment if possible.
