1. Introducció

This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe operation, setup, brewing, and maintenance of your new coffee maker. 3. Configuració inicial

3.1 Unpacking and First Use Cleaning

3. Wash the glass carafe and its lid, and the GoldTone filter in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
4. Before brewing coffee, operate the coffee maker with water only (no coffee grounds) at least once to clean the internal components. Fill the water reservoir to the "5 Cup" mark, place the empty filter basket with the GoldTone filter, and run a full brewing cycle. Discard the water.

3.2 Configuració del rellotge

1. Plug the coffee maker into a standard 120V AC outlet. The display will flash "12:00".
2. Premeu el botó HORA button to advance the hour. The time will advance quickly, then slowly. Ensure the correct AM/PM indicator is displayed.
3. Premeu el botó MIN botó per avançar els minuts.
4. Once the desired time is set, stop pressing the buttons. The clock will set automatically after a few seconds.

4. Instruccions de funcionament

4.1 Elaboració de cafè

1. Obriu la tapa de la cafetera.
2. Fill the glass carafe with fresh, cold water to the desired "WATER" level indicated on the carafe (e.g., 5 cups).
3. Pour the water from the carafe into the water reservoir. The internal water level indicator will show the corresponding level.

4. Place the GoldTone filter into the filter basket. Alternatively, you can use a standard paper filter (size #2 cone filter).
5. Add the desired amount of ground coffee into the filter. A general guideline is one level tablespoon of medium-coarse ground coffee per cup. Do not exceed 8 tablespoons.

6. Tanqueu la tapa amb seguretat.

8. Premeu el botó ON/AUTO/OFF button once. The red "ON" indicator light will illuminate, and brewing will begin.
9. The Drip Stop feature allows you to remove the carafe for approximately 20 seconds to pour a cup before brewing is complete. Replace the carafe promptly to prevent overflow.
10. Once brewing is complete, the coffee maker will automatically switch to the "Keep Warm" mode. The heating plate will keep the coffee warm for 2 hours, then automatically shut off.

4.2 Using the Programmable Timer (AUTO)

To program the coffee maker to start brewing at a specific time:

1. Prepare the coffee maker for brewing as described in section 4.1 (fill water, add coffee grounds, place carafe).
2. Premeu el botó SET button once. The display will show "AUTO" and flash "12:00".
3. Premeu el botó HORA button to set the desired auto-start hour. Observe the AM/PM indicator.
4. Premeu el botó MIN button to set the desired auto-start minutes.
5. After setting the time, stop pressing buttons. The display will return to the current time after a few seconds, and the "AUTO" indicator will remain lit.
6. At the programmed time, the "AUTO" indicator will turn off, the "ON" indicator will light up, and brewing will begin.
7. To cancel the auto-start function, press the ON/AUTO/OFF button until the "AUTO" indicator light turns off.

5. Cura i Manteniment

5.1 Neteja diària

• Desendolleu sempre la cafetera abans de netejar-la i deixeu-la refredar completament.
• Wash the glass carafe and its lid, and the GoldTone filter in warm, soapy water after each use. These parts are top-rack dishwasher safe.
• Netegeu l'exterior de la cafetera amb un damp tela. No utilitzeu netejadors abrasius ni fregalls.
• No submergiu la cafetera en aigua o cap altre líquid.

5.2 Descalcificació

Mineral deposits (limescale) from water can build up in your coffee maker over time, affecting performance and coffee taste. Descale your coffee maker regularly, depending on water hardness and frequency of use (e.g., every 2-4 months).

1. Prepare a descaling solution: Mix 2 tablespoons of white vinegar with 16 oz (2 cups) of water, or use a commercial descaling agent designed for coffee makers following its instructions.

3. Place the empty GoldTone filter (or paper filter) into the filter basket and close the lid.

6. After about half of the solution has brewed through, turn off the coffee maker by pressing the ON/AUTO/OFF button. Let it stand for approximately 15-20 minutes to allow the solution to work.

8. Discard the descaling solution from the carafe.
9. Rinse the coffee maker by running at least two full cycles with fresh, cold water only (no coffee or descaling solution).
