Figura 4.2: Visual alarm indications on the CT-300 screen.

  • When CO concentration reaches a preset alarm threshold, the screen backlight color will change (e.g., from green to orange or red).
  • An urgent audible alarm will sound, indicating the presence of CO gas.
  • Consulteu el Especificacions section for detailed alarm thresholds.

4.4 Funció de retenció de dades

Per congelar la lectura actual a la pantalla, premeu la tecla MANTENIM button. Press it again to resume live measurement.

4.5 Apagada automàtica (APO)

The device is set to automatically power off after 10 minutes of no CO detection or inactivity to conserve battery life. This feature can be disabled if continuous monitoring is required. Consult the full user manual for instructions on disabling APO.

5. Testing the Detector

It is recommended to periodically test the functionality of your CT-300 detector to ensure it is working correctly. You can assess its operational status using the following methods:

Two images side-by-side. Left: A hand holding a lit cigarette over an ashtray, producing smoke. Right: A car's exhaust pipe emitting smoke. These illustrate methods to test the CO detector.

Figura 5.1: Methods for testing CT-300 functionality.

  • Fum de cigarret: In a well-ventilated area, hold a lit cigarette near the detector's sensor. The device should register a CO reading and potentially trigger an alarm.
  • Burning Organic Matter: Carefully burn a small piece of paper or other organic material in a sealed, non-flammable container (e.g., a metal can) and expose the detector to the smoke. The device should react to the CO produced.
  • Vehicle Exhaust: Briefly expose the detector to vehicle exhaust fumes in an open, outdoor area. The detector should show a significant CO reading.

Precaució: Perform these tests in a safe, well-ventilated outdoor environment to avoid CO exposure. Do not intentionally expose yourself to high concentrations of CO.

6. Manteniment

6.1 Substitució de la bateria

When the low-power indicator appears on the screen, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the steps outlined in the Configuració: Instal·lació de la bateria section (Section 3).

  • Always use new, high-quality AAA alkaline batteries.
  • No barregeu piles velles i noves, o diferents tipus de piles.
  • Eliminar les bateries usades d'acord amb la normativa local.

6.2 Neteja

To maintain optimal performance, keep the detector clean.

  • Netegeu l'exterior del dispositiu amb un damp tela.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or strong chemicals, as these can damage the device or sensor.
  • Ensure the sensor opening is free from dust and debris. Do not insert any objects into the sensor opening.
