2. Informació de seguretat

4. Configuració

4.1 Desembalatge i col·locació

1. Traieu tots els materials d'embalatge de la màquina.
2. Col·loqueu la màquina sobre una superfície estable i plana, allunyada de fonts de calor i aigua.
3. Assegureu-vos que hi hagi prou espai al voltant de la màquina per a la ventilació i l'accés als components.

4.2 Omplir el dipòsit d'aigua

1. Traieu el dipòsit d’aigua de la màquina.
2. Ompliu el dipòsit amb aigua fresca i freda de l'aixeta fins a l'indicador de nivell MÀX.
3. Torneu a inserir el dipòsit d'aigua de manera segura a la màquina.

4.3 Afegir grans de cafè

1. Obriu la tapa del recipient en gra de cafè.
2. Pour fresh whole coffee beans into the container. Do not fill above the MAX level.
3. Tanqueu la tapa amb fermesa.

4.4 Cicle d'esbandida inicial

Before first use or after a long period of inactivity, perform a rinse cycle:

1. Col·loqueu un recipient sota el broc de cafè.
2. Premeu el botó d'encesa per encendre la màquina.
3. The machine will automatically perform a rinse cycle, dispensing hot water.
4. Once the cycle is complete, the machine is ready for use.

5. Instruccions de funcionament

5.1 Tauler de control acabatview

The GAGGIA Besana features a simple control panel for ease of use.

• Single Espresso Button: Press once for a single shot of espresso.
• Double Espresso Button: Press once for a double shot of espresso.
• Marcador de vapor/aigua calenta: Turn to activate the steam wand for milk frothing or to dispense hot water.
• Botó d'encesa: Encén o apaga la màquina.

5.2 Preparació d'espresso/cafè

1. Assegureu-vos que el dipòsit d'aigua estigui ple i que hi hagi grans de cafè a la tolva.
2. Col·loqueu una tassa sota el broc de cafè.
3. Press either the single or double espresso button. The machine will grind the beans and brew your coffee automatically.

5.3 Ús de la vareta de vapor per escumar llet

1. Ompliu una gerra de llet amb llet freda.
2. Turn the steam/hot water dial to the steam position. Wait for the steam indicator light to illuminate steadily.
3. Submergeix la punta de la vareta de vapor just per sota de la superfície de la llet.
4. Open the steam valve by turning the dial further. Froth the milk until desired texture and temperature are reached.
5. Close the steam valve and clean the steam wand immediately after use with a damp tela.

5.4 Funció d'aigua calenta

2. Turn the steam/hot water dial to the hot water position.
3. Hot water will be dispensed. Turn the dial back to stop.

6. Manteniment

6.1 Neteja diària

• Safata de degoteig i contenidor de cafè mòlt: Buidar i esbandir diàriament.
• Dipòsit d'aigua: Esbandir diàriament i tornar a omplir amb aigua fresca.

6.2 Neteja de la unitat de preparació

The brewing unit should be rinsed weekly under running water.

1. Apagueu i desconnecteu la màquina.
2. Open the service door and remove the brewing unit by pressing the 'PUSH' button and pulling it out.
3. Rinse the brewing unit thoroughly under lukewarm running water until all coffee residues are removed.
4. Deixeu-ho assecar a l'aire abans de tornar-ho a inserir.

6.3 Ajust del molinet

The ceramic grinder allows for adjustment of coffee fineness. Use the provided grinder adjustment key.

1. Adjust the grinder only when the grinder is operating (e.g., during grinding for a coffee).
2. Insert the adjustment key into the grinder adjustment knob inside the bean hopper.
3. Turn the knob one click at a time to adjust fineness. Turning clockwise makes the grind finer, counter-clockwise makes it coarser.

6.4 Descalcificació

Descale the machine when prompted by the descaling indicator light, or approximately every 2-3 months depending on water hardness. Use the provided GAGGIA descaling solution (MEL-F2000).

Refer to the dedicated 'Periodic Maintenance Booklet' for detailed descaling instructions.

6.5 Greasing the Brewing Unit

Apply the provided brewing unit grease (5g) to the moving parts of the brewing unit every few months, or as indicated in the maintenance booklet.
