HobbyZone RC Airplane Sport Cub S 2 615mm RTF Instruction Manual

Model: HBZ444000

Introducció

The HobbyZone® Sport Cub S 2 is based on one of the most popular trainer aircraft ever designed for learning to fly radio controlled (RC) airplanes—the legendary Sport Cub S. Its ultra-micro size makes it the ideal choice for a smaller trainer model that can be flown in large yards, parks, baseball fields, and other suitable spaces where larger models can't typically be flown successfully by first-time pilots. Exclusive SAFE® (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology helps prevent overcontrol, loss of orientation and crashes so nearly everyone can learn to fly successfully! The 100% factory-assembled airframe is equipped with a reliable electric motor along with an ESC (Electronic Speed Control) and receiver unit plus four servos.

Instruccions de funcionament

The HobbyZone Sport Cub S 2 features exclusive SAFE® (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology, designed to make learning to fly easier and prevent crashes. This technology offers multiple flight modes that can be easily changed at the flip of a switch on the transmitter.

Modes de vol:

  • Mode principiant: In this mode, the airplane has pitch (up/down) and bank (left/right) angle limits that prevent over-control, loss of orientation, and crashes. When the control sticks are released, the airplane automatically returns to level flight, allowing you to relax and enjoy simply 'steering' the airplane through the sky. Takeoffs are as simple as giving full throttle and letting the airplane fly off a suitable surface, or by giving it a quick hand launch. Landings are as easy as lowering the throttle and letting it glide to a landing on its own.
  • Mode intermedi: This flight mode allows more freedom in pitch and bank but still prevents significant over-control, and the airplane does not return to level flight on its own. This allows you to make tighter turns and to climb and descend faster as your skills advance.
  • Experienced Mode: In this flight mode, there are no pitch or bank angle limits, giving you complete control. You can even fly inverted (upside down) and perform aerobatic maneuvers including loops, rolls, stall turns, and more.

Panic Recovery:

If you lose control of the airplane in the Intermediate or Experienced flight modes, simply activate the Panic Recovery mode with the push of a button. SAFE Technology will automatically return the airplane to level flight, allowing you to regain control.

First Flight Considerations:

  • Assegureu-vos que la bateria estigui completament carregada abans de cada vol.
  • Feu una comprovació de l'abast del vostre sistema de ràdio abans del primer vol del dia.
  • Always fly in an open area free from obstacles, people, and animals.
  • Avoid flying in windy conditions, especially as a beginner, as the lightweight aircraft can be easily affected.

Manteniment

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Sport Cub S 2.

  • Cura de la bateria: Always use the included E-flite 1S LiPo Battery USB Charger. Do not overcharge or deep discharge the battery. Store batteries in a cool, dry place.
  • Refrigeració del motor: Allow the motor to cool for a few minutes between flights to prevent overheating, especially after extended use.
  • Inspecció de l'hèlix: Regularly check the propeller for any damage or cracks. A damaged propeller can affect flight performance and balance.
  • Structural Repairs: The aircraft is made from EPS foam. For minor repairs, hot glue and scotch tape can be effective. Avoid using CA glue as it can damage the foam.
  • Servo Protection: Ensure the linear servos are protected from debris. While some models have plastic covers, if yours does not, take extra care to keep the servo mechanisms clean.

Resolució de problemes

Problemes comuns i les seves possibles solucions:

  • Aircraft not binding/connecting to transmitter: Ensure both the aircraft and transmitter are powered on and within range. Follow the binding procedure outlined in the full product manual. If issues persist, try removing and reconnecting the aircraft battery multiple times.
  • Aircraft not gaining altitude or struggling in flight: Check the battery charge level. Ensure the propeller is not damaged and is securely attached. Verify that all control surfaces (ailerons, elevator, rudder) respond correctly to transmitter inputs.
  • Aircraft drifts or is difficult to control: Perform a trim adjustment on the transmitter to neutralize control surfaces. If the issue persists, recalibrate the SAFE system as per the full manual.
  • Short flight times: Ensure the battery is fully charged. Consider purchasing additional batteries for longer flying sessions. Flight time can be extended by flying with lower throttle settings.
