4. Configuració

4.1 Instal·lació de la bateria

  1. Gently slide open the back cover of the sensor.
  2. Introduïu dues piles AAA, assegurant-vos de la polaritat correcta (+/-).
  3. Tanqueu la coberta posterior de manera segura.

4.2 Pairing with Apple HomeKit

To add the Onvis SMS2-K to your Apple HomeKit system:

  1. Ensure your iOS device is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
  2. Obriu l'aplicació Apple Home al vostre dispositiu iOS.
  3. Toqueu la icona "+" a la cantonada superior dreta i seleccioneu "Afegeix accessori".
  4. Scan the HomeKit setup code located on the back of the sensor or on the included manual. If scanning fails, manually enter the 8-digit code.
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to name your sensor and assign it to a room.
  6. For Thread functionality, ensure you have an Apple HomePod mini or a compatible Thread Border Router set up as a home hub.

4.3 Muntatge del sensor

The sensor can be wall-mounted or placed on a flat surface.

  • Muntatge en paret: Use the provided adhesive pads to secure the sensor to a clean, dry, flat surface. Ensure the sensor is positioned to cover the desired detection area.
  • Col·locació: For optimal motion detection, place the sensor where movement is expected, such as near doorways or in high-traffic areas. Avoid placing it directly facing heat sources or in direct sunlight, which can affect temperature readings and trigger false motion alerts.

5. Instruccions de funcionament

5.1 Detecció de moviment

The PIR (Passive Infrared) sensor detects movement within its range (16-32 feet). When motion is detected, the sensor can trigger automations in Apple HomeKit, such as turning on lights or sending notifications.

5.2 Monitorització de la temperatura i la humitat

The sensor continuously monitors ambient temperature and humidity. These readings are updated automatically every 15 minutes and can be viewed in the Apple Home app or the Onvis Home app. You can also ask Siri for current room conditions.

5.3 Sensor de llum

The integrated light sensor detects ambient brightness. This feature can be used in automations to ensure lights only activate when needed, conserving energy.

5.4 Customizing Alerts and Schedules (Onvis Home App)

For advanced customization, download the Onvis Home app from the App Store. This app allows you to:

  • Set specific time slots for motion detection to align with your daily routine.
  • Adjust motion sensitivity to prevent unnecessary alerts.
  • View historical data for motion, temperature, and humidity.

6. Manteniment

6.1 Substitució de la bateria

When the battery level is low, you will receive a notification in the Apple Home app. To replace the batteries:

  1. Slide open the back cover.
  2. Traieu les piles AAA velles.
  3. Insert two new AAA batteries, observing correct polarity.
  4. Tanqueu la contraportada.

6.2 Neteja

Wipe the sensor with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as these can damage the device.

7. Solució De Problemes

  • Sensor not responding/offline:

    • Ensure the sensor is within range of your Apple HomeKit hub (e.g., HomePod mini, Apple TV, iPad).
    • Verify your HomeKit hub is online and functioning correctly.
    • Restart your HomeKit hub.
  • Lectures de temperatura/humitat inexactes:
    • Ensure the sensor is not placed near heat sources (e.g., direct sunlight, vents) or in areas with extreme humidity fluctuations.
    • Allow some time for the sensor to stabilize after initial setup or relocation.
  • False motion alerts or no detection:
    • Adjust the sensor's sensitivity settings in the Onvis Home app.

    • Reset the sensor (refer to the Onvis Home app or product support for specific reset instructions if needed).
