Follow these steps for a quick and straightforward installation of your new garbage disposal flange kit.

- Preparació: Turn off the power to the garbage disposal at the circuit breaker. Clear the sink area and place a bucket under the sink drain to catch any water.
- Traieu la brida antiga (si escau): If replacing an existing flange, loosen the mounting screws and remove the old disposal unit. Detach the old flange from the sink opening. Clean the sink opening thoroughly, removing any old plumber's putty or sealant.
- Apply Plumber's Putty: Roll a 1/2-inch thick rope of plumber's putty and apply it around the underside lip of the new Franke flange.
- Insert Flange: Insert the flange into the sink drain opening from the top, pressing down firmly to create a seal with the putty.
- Assemble Under Sink: From underneath the sink, slide the rubber gasket, then the fiber gasket, followed by the support ring, and finally the mounting ring onto the flange.
- Secure Mounting Ring: Tighten the three mounting screws evenly and gradually to pull the mounting ring up against the sink bottom. This will compress the gaskets and putty, creating a watertight seal. Wipe away any excess plumber's putty that squeezes out from around the top of the flange.
- Connect Disposal: Attach the garbage disposal unit to the mounting ring according to the disposal manufacturer's instructions. Ensure it is securely locked into place.
