4. Setup (Initial System Setup & Filter Installation)

4.1 Initial Flushing for New Systems

Before first use or after installing new filters, the system requires initial flushing to prepare the filters and ensure optimal water quality. Please follow the steps below:

1. Rinse the feed water tank with clean water, then fill it with municipal potable/tap water or well water meeting government drinking water standards (TDS < 500 ppm).
2. Carefully fit the filled tank into the base of the system. Ensure the tank is properly seated.
3. Plug the system into an electrical outlet. All indicator lights will flash twice, and you will hear two beeps, indicating the system is powered on.
4. The system will automatically initiate internal flushing for 30 seconds. During this time, the flushing indicator will be on. Note that internal flushing is cyclic, and water returns to the feed water tank for circulation; no water will flow from the outlet.
5. Place a large container (e.g., a pitcher) on the drip tray.
6. Press the Dispense Button. The system will continuously filter and dispense water until the feed water tank reaches the minimum water level. Press again to stop.
7. Empty the remaining water from the feed water tank and refill it. Repeat steps 5-7 for a minimum of 3 times to complete the initial flushing process. This ensures the new filters are thoroughly rinsed.

4.2 Installing New RO Filter Cartridges

When replacing the RO filter, ensure you have the correct SimPure ROULP-3012-400-Y9 cartridge.

5. Pull the two clamp bars on the side cover towards the yellow arrow indicators, then lift the side cover up along the blue arrow indicators until it opens.
6. Lift the old RO filter cartridge from the bottom towards you, then twist it counter-clockwise to remove it.
7. Remove the protective cap from the new RO filter cartridge.
8. Insert the new filter cartridge into the correct position and twist it clockwise until you feel a click.
9. Follow the disassembly method in reverse to install the side cover and the upper cover.

1. Ensure the feed water tank is filled to the MAX level.

6.2 Replacing Filter Cartridges

6.3 Resetting Filter Indicators

After replacing a filter, you must reset its indicator light:

1. When the indicator is flashing: After replacing the filter, press and hold the "Reset" button for 3 seconds. The indicator will remain steady with 3 beeps to confirm a successful reset. This step can reset all flashing filter indicators at once.
2. When the filter needs to be replaced in advance (indicator is not flashing): Press and hold the Reset button for 3 seconds to enter the system progress selection mode. You will hear 1 beep, and the default selection (PPC indicator) will flash.
3. To choose another filter indicator (RO/T33/ALK), simply press the Reset button to cycle through the options. The selected filter indicator will flash.
4. Once the desired filter indicator is flashing, press and hold the Reset button for at least 3 seconds to complete the reset process. The selected filter indicator will remain steady, indicated by 3 beeps. The system will then return to regular operation.

Nota: The above steps can only reset one selected filter cartridge at a time and cannot reset multiple filter indicators simultaneously when not flashing. If there is no operation within 10 seconds during each stage of the filter resetting process, the system will exit the setting stage.

6.4 Cleaning the Feed Water Tank

To extend service life and maintenance intervals, always discard the remaining water in the feed water tank and do not reuse it for another round of filtering. Regularly clean the tank with mild soap and water, then rinse thoroughly.
