The tectake® Rectangular Cantilever Parasol, model Apollon, is designed to provide extensive shade and protection from the sun and light rain. Its offset pole design maximizes usable space underneath, making it ideal for terraces, gardens, and patios. Key features include a smooth crank mechanism for easy opening and closing, adjustable tilt angle, and a robust, water-repellent polyester canopy. The parasol also comes with a protective cover for storage.

3. Instruccions de seguretat

Read all safety warnings and instructions carefully before using the parasol. Failure to follow these instructions may result in property damage or injury.

• Always close the parasol during strong winds, heavy rain, or storms to prevent damage or tipping.
• Ensure the base is adequately weighted down with paving slabs or a dedicated parasol base (not included) to ensure stability.
• Do not hang objects from the parasol frame.
• Keep children and pets away from the parasol during opening and closing operations.
• Avoid placing the parasol near open flames or heat sources.
• Regularly inspect all parts for wear and tear. Replace damaged components immediately.

4. Muntatge i muntatge

Follow these steps for proper assembly of your tectake® Rectangular Cantilever Parasol. It is recommended that two people perform the assembly.

1. Step 1: Assemble the Cross Base
   

   Place the cross base on a flat, stable surface. Secure the two cross sections together using the provided hardware. Ensure all bolts are tightened securely.
2. Step 2: Attach the Main Pole
   

   Carefully insert the main pole assembly into the central opening of the cross base. Secure it with the appropriate bolts and nuts. Ensure the pole is vertical and stable.

   Place heavy paving slabs or a suitable parasol base (minimum weight recommended: 50kg) onto the cross base to provide adequate stability. Note: Base weights are not included.

4. Step 4: Attach the Canopy Frame
   

   With assistance, lift the parasol canopy frame and attach it to the main pole assembly. Follow the specific instructions in the included diagram for securing the canopy arm to the pole. Ensure the locking pin or mechanism is engaged.

5. Step 5: Install the Crank Handle
   

   Attach the crank handle to the designated mechanism on the main pole. This handle will be used for opening and closing the parasol.

5. Instruccions de funcionament

5.1 Opening the Parasol

1. Ensure the parasol base is stable and weighted.
2. Locate the crank handle on the main pole.
3. Turn the crank handle clockwise to extend the canopy. Continue cranking until the canopy is fully open and taut. Do not overtighten.

5.2 Closing the Parasol

1. Turn the crank handle counter-clockwise to retract the canopy.
2. Continue cranking until the canopy is fully closed and folded neatly against the pole.
3. For long-term storage or during adverse weather, use the provided protective cover.

The parasol features an adjustable tilt mechanism to adapt to the sun's position throughout the day.

1. Locate the tilt adjustment lever or handle on the main pole.
2. Press or release the lever to unlock the tilt mechanism.
3. Carefully adjust the canopy to the desired angle (ranging from approximately 90° to 135°).
4. Release the lever to lock the canopy in place. Ensure it is securely locked before leaving it unattended.

6. Manteniment i cura

Proper maintenance will extend the life of your parasol.

• Neteja de la capota: Wipe clean with a dry cloth as per manufacturer's instructions. For stubborn dirt, use a mild soap solution and a soft brush, then rinse thoroughly with clean water. Allow to air dry completely before closing or covering.
• Manteniment del marc: Regularly inspect the steel frame for any signs of rust or damage. Clean with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. If necessary, apply a rust-inhibiting paint to scratched areas.
• Mechanism Lubrication: Periodically apply a silicone-based lubricant to the crank and tilt mechanisms to ensure smooth operation.
• Emmagatzematge: When not in use for extended periods or during off-season, close the parasol, ensure it is dry, and cover it with the provided protective cover. Store in a dry, sheltered location.
