1. Instruccions de seguretat importants

Please read these instructions carefully before using your Tefal Express Steam+ Iron and retain them for future reference. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

The Tefal Express Steam+ Iron FV2882G0 is designed for efficient and effortless ironing. Familiarize yourself with its components:

3. Abans del primer ús

1. Traieu qualsevol adhesiu o pel·lícula protectora de la sola.
2. Netegeu la sola amb un suau, damp tela.
3. For the first use, iron an old piece of fabric (e.g., an old towel) for a few minutes to remove any manufacturing residues from the soleplate and steam vents. This may produce a slight odor or light smoke, which is normal and will dissipate.

The iron features a 270ml water tank for extended ironing sessions.

1. Ensure the iron is unplugged from the mains socket.

5. Carefully pour tap water into the water tank up to the 'MAX' level indicator. Do not overfill.

Nota: While tap water is generally suitable, in areas with very hard water, it is recommended to mix 50% tap water with 50% distilled water to prolong the life of your iron. Do not use 100% distilled water as it can cause the iron to spit. Never use perfumed water, water from tumble dryers, or chemically descaled water, as these can damage the iron.

5. Funcionament de la planxa

5.1. Configuració de la temperatura

The iron features 5 precision temperature settings to tailor the heat for every fabric type.

1. Plug the iron into an earthed mains socket.
2. Turn the temperature control dial to the desired setting according to the fabric care label. Start with lower temperatures for delicate fabrics and increase for heavier materials.

5.2. Planxat amb vapor

Ensure the water tank is filled (refer to Section 4).

1. Set the temperature control dial to the steam zone (usually indicated by steam symbols on the dial).
2. Once the indicator light turns off, indicating the iron is at temperature, you can select your desired steam level using the steam control selector.
3. For a powerful steam boost of up to 190 g/min, press the steam trigger/boost button. This is effective for stubborn creases.

5.3. Vaporització vertical

This feature allows you to remove creases from hanging garments, curtains, or upholstery.

4. Press the steam trigger/boost button repeatedly to release bursts of steam.

5.4. Planxat en sec

For fabrics that require dry ironing, or when the water tank is empty:

1. Set the steam control selector to the 'Dry Ironing' position (no steam symbol).

5.5. Funció de polvorització

The spray function helps to dampen els plecs tossuts.

• Press the spray button to emit a fine mist of water onto the fabric.

5.6. Automatic Safety Shut-Off

For enhanced safety, the iron is equipped with an auto shut-off feature:

• If left motionless on its soleplate or side, the iron will automatically switch off after approximately 30 seconds.
• If left motionless on its heel rest, it will switch off after approximately 8 minutes.
• To restart the iron, simply move it. The indicator light will illuminate, and the iron will reheat to the set temperature.

6.1. Neteja de la sola

The Durilium Airglide ceramic soleplate is designed to be scratch-resistant and easy to clean.

1. Assegureu-vos que la planxa estigui desendollada i completament freda.
2. Netegeu la sola amb l'anunciamp un drap i un netejador no abrasiu, si cal.
3. Do not use abrasive pads, metal scouring pads, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the soleplate coating.

6.2. Descalcificació

Regular descaling helps maintain steam performance, especially in hard water areas. The iron features an anti-calc system.

• Refer to the specific descaling instructions in the full product manual for detailed steps on using the anti-calc system.
• Generally, this involves filling the tank, heating the iron, and then flushing out mineral deposits.

6.3. Emmagatzematge

1. Desendolla la planxa i deixa que es refredi completament.
2. Empty any remaining water from the tank to prevent water stains and mineral buildup.
3. Wrap the power cord loosely around the heel rest.
4. Guardeu la planxa en posició vertical sobre el seu reposapeus en un lloc segur i sec.
