1. Introducció

This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and effective use of your Omron M2 Plus Blood Pressure Monitor (Model HEM-7146-E). Please read all instructions thoroughly before using the device. Keep this manual for future reference.

The Omron M2 Plus is an automatic blood pressure monitor designed for home use. It measures blood pressure and pulse rate simply and quickly. The device utilizes the oscillometric method of blood pressure measurement.

3. Configuració

3.1 Desembalatge

Traieu amb cura el monitor de pressió arterial i tots els components de l'embalatge. Assegureu-vos que hi hagi tots els elements:

• Storage case (if included)
• Bateries (si incloses)

3.2 Instal·lació de la bateria

1. Obriu la tapa de la bateria a la part posterior del monitor.
2. Insert four 'AA' alkaline batteries according to the polarity markings (+/-) inside the battery compartment.
3. Tanqueu la tapa de la bateria amb seguretat.

3.3 Connexió del braçalet

4. Funcionament del monitor

4.1 Abans de prendre una mesura

• Avoid eating, drinking alcohol or caffeine, smoking, and exercising for 30 minutes before measurement.
• Descansa almenys 5 minuts abans de prendre una mesura.
• Sit upright in a chair with your feet flat on the floor and your back supported.

4.2 Aplicació del braçalet

1. Wrap the cuff around your upper left arm. The air tube should run down the inside of your arm and be aligned with your middle finger.
2. The bottom edge of the cuff should be 1 to 2 cm above your elbow.
3. Ensure the cuff is snug but not too tight. You should be able to insert two fingers between the cuff and your arm.

4.3 Prendre una mesura

1. Premeu el botó INICI/PARA botó. El maneguet començarà a inflar-se automàticament.
2. Estar quiet i no parlar durant la mesura.
3. Once the measurement is complete, the cuff will deflate, and your systolic pressure (SYS), diastolic pressure (DIA), and pulse rate will be displayed on the screen.
4. Premeu el botó INICI/PARA button again to turn off the monitor. If you forget, it will automatically shut off after 2 minutes.

4.4 Comprensió de les lectures

La pantalla mostra tres valors principals:

• SIS (Pressió sistòlica): La pressió més alta a les artèries quan batega el cor.

5. Manteniment

5.1 Neteja

• Netegeu la unitat del monitor i el braçalet amb un drap suau i sec.
• If necessary, use a soft cloth moistened with water and a mild detergent, then wipe dry.
• No utilitzeu productes de neteja abrasius ni submergiu el dispositiu en aigua.

5.2 Emmagatzematge

• Guardeu el monitor i el braçalet a l'estoig proporcionat o en un lloc net i sec.
• Eviteu temperatures extremes, humitat, llum solar directa i pols.

5.3 Substitució de la bateria

When the battery indicator appears on the display, replace all four 'AA' batteries with new ones. Do not mix old and new batteries or different types of batteries.
