The installation of this mini split air conditioner and heater requires specialized knowledge and tools. It is mandatory that installation be performed only by a Licensed HVAC Installer. Attempting to install the unit yourself without proper certification and experience can void your warranty, lead to improper operation, and pose significant safety risks including electrical shock, refrigerant leaks, and property damage.

The unit comes in two separate boxes due to its size. Your installer will handle the mounting of the indoor and outdoor units, connecting the copper pipes, electrical wiring, and drain hose, and ensuring proper refrigerant charging and system testing.

7. Instruccions de funcionament

Your COSTWAY Mini Split unit can be controlled via the included remote control or through smart home integration (Alexa/Google Assistant). Below are basic operating instructions for the remote control.

7.1 Funcions de control remot

• Encès/apagat: Premeu el botó ON/OFF botó per encendre o apagar la unitat.
• Selecció del mode: Premeu el botó MODE button to cycle through operating modes: AUTO, COOL, DRY, HEAT, and FAN.
• Ajust de temperatura: Utilitza el CONFIGURAR i SET DOWN arrows to adjust the desired temperature. The temperature range is 60℉ to 90℉.
• Velocitat del ventilador: Premeu el botó VELOCITAT button to select fan speeds: LOW, MID, HIGH.
• Funció de swing: Ús SWING↑↓ for vertical louver movement and SWING↔ for horizontal louver movement to direct airflow.
• Temporitzador: Premeu el botó TEMPORIZADOR button to set a scheduled on or off time, up to 24 hours. Use the temperature adjustment arrows to set the duration.

8. Manteniment

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your unit. Always disconnect power before performing any maintenance.

8.1 Neteja del filtre

The unit features a removable and washable filter. Clean the air filter every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage and air quality.

8.2 Self-Cleaning Function (iCLEAN)

The iCLEAN function performs a high-temperature self-cleaning cycle on the indoor unit's evaporator coil to help prevent mold and bacteria buildup. To activate, press the iCLEAN button on the remote control. The unit will run through a cycle that includes freezing and then rapidly thawing the coil, followed by drying. This process takes approximately 20-30 minutes.

Periodically check the outdoor unit for any obstructions (leaves, debris) around the fan and coils. Gently clear any blockages. For thorough cleaning of the outdoor coil, it is recommended to contact a Licensed HVAC professional.
