1. Introducció

This manual provides instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Calix GigaCenter 854G-1 Dual Radio Internet Modem Router. This device combines a modem and a router, offering both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi bands for reliable internet connectivity. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the device.

3.2 Ports i botons del panell posterior

The rear panel provides various connection ports and a reset button:

• ETHERNET Ports (1-4): RJ-45 ports for wired network connections.
• PHONE Ports (1-2): RJ-11 ports for telephone connections.
• Port USB 2.0: Per connectar dispositius USB.

4. Instruccions de configuració

Follow these steps to set up your Calix GigaCenter 854G-1:

1. Col·locació: Position the router in a central location in your home, away from obstructions and other electronic devices that may cause interference. Ensure adequate ventilation.
2. Connect RF Cable: Connect the coaxial cable from your wall outlet to the RF port on the back of the GigaCenter.
3. Connectar l'alimentació: Connecteu l'adaptador d'alimentació a PODER port on the GigaCenter and then plug the adapter into an electrical outlet.
4. Encès: The device will automatically power on. Wait for the PODER, BANDA AMPLA, i SERVEI indicators on the front panel to become solid green, indicating a successful connection. This may take several minutes.

5.1 Connexió a Wi-Fi

To connect your wireless devices to the GigaCenter's Wi-Fi network:

1. Locate the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password on the label usually found on the bottom or side of your GigaCenter.
2. On your wireless device (smartphone, laptop, tablet), open the Wi-Fi settings.
3. Select the appropriate Wi-Fi network name (SSID) for either 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz.

5.2 Ús de WPS (configuració protegida Wi-Fi)

WPS allows for easy connection of compatible devices without entering the password:

1. Premeu el botó WPS button on the front panel of the GigaCenter. The WPS indicator will start blinking.
2. Within two minutes, activate WPS on your wireless device.
3. The device will automatically connect to the GigaCenter.

6. Manteniment

• Ventilació: Ensure the ventilation slots are not blocked to prevent overheating.
