1. Introducció

The Eden FES 200 external filter is designed for efficient water filtration and treatment in both freshwater and saltwater aquariums up to 200 liters. This filter combines high filtration performance with a compact design, allowing for flexible placement next to, behind, or below the aquarium cabinet.

It features a silent, energy-saving motor protected against overheating by a thermal switch. Stable rubber feet ensure secure placement and minimize vibrations. The self-ventilated system simplifies installation and restarting. The filter chambers are equipped with various filter media for multi-stage mechanical pre-filtration and biological treatment using ceramic filter material.

4. Configuració i instal·lació

1. Prepare Filter Media: Open the filter unit and rinse all filter media thoroughly under tap water to remove any manufacturing dust. Arrange the media in the designated chambers according to the instructions provided on the packaging or in the quick start guide (typically mechanical filtration first, then biological).

Securely attach the other ends of the hoses to the appropriate inlet and outlet pipes within your aquarium. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks.

5. Instruccions de funcionament

After successful installation and power connection, the filter will begin operating. The energy-saving motor ensures quiet operation. The integrated flow control on the adapter unit allows you to adjust the water flow rate as needed for your aquarium.

The special outlet hose with multiple fine openings enhances oxygen absorption at the water surface. Alternatively, a diffuser can be used for a different water outflow pattern.

6. Manteniment i Neteja

Regular maintenance is crucial for optimal filter performance and water quality. The adapter unit with its automatic stop system prevents water from escaping during cleaning, making the process easier.

1. Desconnecteu l'alimentació: Always unplug the filter from the power outlet before any maintenance.
2. Detach Hoses: Use the automatic stop system on the adapter unit to disconnect the hoses from the filter head without water spillage.
3. Open Filter: Carefully open the filter unit and remove the filter media baskets.
4. Clean Mechanical Media: Rinse mechanical filter sponges and pads (e.g., blue sponges) thoroughly under running aquarium water (not tap water, to preserve beneficial bacteria) or replace them if heavily soiled.
5. Maintain Biological Media: Gently rinse ceramic biological media in old aquarium water to remove debris without destroying beneficial bacteria. Do not clean biological media too vigorously or replace it frequently.
6. Impulsor net: Periodically inspect and clean the impeller and its housing in the motor unit to ensure smooth and quiet operation.

8. Reinicia: Reconnect the hoses to the filter head, ensure the filter is filled with water, and then plug it back into the power outlet. The self-ventilated system will assist in restarting.
