1. Introducció

1. Preparar l'aquari: Ensure the aquarium glass is clean where the skimmer will be placed.
2. Attach the Skimmer: The Shark Mini Skimmer uses a magnetic connection system. Place the skimmer unit inside the aquarium against the glass. Align the external magnet on the outside of the aquarium glass directly opposite the internal magnet of the skimmer. The skimmer is rated for up to 6 mm (0.25") glass thickness.

3. Insert Protection Grid: Place the protection grid into the top inlet of the skimmer. This prevents small aquatic life from being drawn into the unit.

4. Position the Skimmer: Adjust the skimmer's position so that the water level is within the operating range of the floating inlet. The skimmer float has a 30 mm (1.2") excursion to adapt to varying water levels.

6. Manteniment

Regular cleaning of the skimmer is essential for optimal performance and longevity. It is recommended to clean the filter foam every few days, depending on the amount of surface debris in your aquarium.

2. Remove Filter Foam: The part of the Sicce Shark Mini that holds the filter foam is easily removable. Gently slide the top section of the skimmer upwards to access the internal filter foam.

3. Clean Filter Foam: Remove the 30 ppi mechanical filter foam. Rinse it thoroughly under running water (preferably aquarium water or dechlorinated tap water) until all debris is removed. Do not use soap or detergents.

4. Clean Impeller and Pump Housing: Periodically, the impeller and pump housing should also be cleaned to prevent mineral buildup and ensure smooth operation. Carefully remove the pump from the skimmer body and clean the impeller and its chamber with a small brush.
