3. Configuració

3.1 Instal·lació i càrrega de la bateria:

1. Ensure the pole saw is switched off and the safety lock is engaged.
2. Align the 20V 4.0Ah battery pack with the battery slot on the tool's handle.

4. To charge the battery, remove it from the tool. Connect the USB-C charging cable to the battery pack and a compatible power source. The LED power display on the battery indicates charging status. A full charge takes approximately 1 hour.

3.2 Chain and Bar Assembly (if not pre-assembled):

1. Remove the sprocket cover by unscrewing the fastening bolt.

5. Fully tighten the fastening bolt for the sprocket cover.

3.3 Filling the Automatic Lubrication System:

1. Locate the oil filler cap on the head of the pole saw.
2. Unscrew the cap and fill the oil tank with appropriate chain and bar oil. Do not use motor oil or other lubricants.
3. Monitor the oil level through the oil level inspection window.

4.1 Adjusting Pole Length:

The pole saw can extend up to 9.2 feet for reaching high branches.

1. Loosen the quick release mechanism on the telescopic arm.
2. Extend or retract the pole to the desired length.
3. Securely tighten the quick release to lock the pole in position.

4.2 Adjusting Cutting Angle:

The saw head can be adjusted to 0°, 15°, 30°, and 45° for versatile cutting.

1. Locate the angle adjustment mechanism on the saw head.
2. Press the release button or lever and adjust the head to one of the four preset angles (0°, 15°, 30°, 45°).
3. Ensure the head locks securely into the chosen angle before operation.

4.3 Starting and Stopping the Pole Saw:

1. Ensure the battery is installed and fully charged, and the oil tank is filled.
2. Hold the pole saw firmly with both hands.
3. Engage the safety lock, then press the On/Off switch to start the saw.
4. Release the On/Off switch to stop the saw.

4.4 Cutting Techniques:

• Always make a relief cut on the underside of a branch first to prevent bark stripping.
• Position the saw chain against the branch and allow the saw to cut through the wood without forcing it.
• Maintain a stable stance and be aware of the branch's fall path.
• The pole saw features a 2500 RPM motor with a chain speed of 16.4 ft/s for efficient cutting.

5. Manteniment

5.1 Lubricació de la cadena:

The pole saw features an automatic lubrication system. Regularly check the oil level via the inspection window and refill as needed with appropriate chain and bar oil.

5.2 Chain Tensioning:

Proper chain tension is crucial for safe and efficient operation. The pole saw features tool-free tensioning.

1. Ensure the pole saw is off and the battery is removed.
2. Loosen the fastening bolt for the sprocket cover slightly.
3. Turn the chain adjustment ring (tension knob) to adjust the chain tension. The chain should be snug against the guide bar but still allow you to pull it freely by hand. There should be a gap of about 0.08 inches between the chain and the bar at the center.
4. Tighten the fastening bolt for the sprocket cover.

5.3 Chain Replacement:

When the chain becomes dull or damaged, it needs to be replaced.

1. Ensure the pole saw is off and the battery is removed.
2. Unscrew the cover (sprocket cover).

4. Insert the new chain link by link around the sprocket and guide bar.
5. Close the cover and partially tighten the fastening bolt.
6. Adjust the chain tension as described in section 5.2.
7. Fully tighten the fastening bolt.

5.4 Neteja i emmagatzematge:

• After each use, clean the pole saw, especially the chain and bar area, to remove sawdust and debris.
• Always use the blade cover when storing or transporting the pole saw.
