1. Introducció
The BAOFENG 5RH PRO is an advanced 10W handheld ham radio, serving as an upgraded version of the Baofeng 5RM. It features GPS location sharing, APRS capabilities, an 8-band frequency range, a 1.77-inch color display, and NOAA Weather Receiver functionality. Designed for advanced users, it offers extensive customization and communication options.

3. Configuració
3.1. Instal·lació i càrrega de la bateria
The BAOFENG 5RH PRO comes with a 2500mAh Lithium Polymer battery. To install, align the battery with the back of the radio and slide it into place until it clicks securely. To remove, push the release tab and slide the battery out.
The battery can be charged using the included desktop charger or directly via the USB-C port on the battery itself. Ensure the radio is powered off during charging for optimal battery life.

3.2. Fixació de l'antena
Carefully screw the included antenna onto the connector at the top of the radio until it is finger-tight. Do not overtighten.
3.3. Encendre/apagar
To power on the radio, rotate the top-right knob clockwise. To power off, rotate it counter-clockwise until it clicks.

4.1. Frequency Range and Bands
The BAOFENG 5RH PRO supports a wide range of frequencies:
- Transmissió (TX): 136-174MHz (VHF), 220-260MHz (1.25M), 400-480MHz (UHF)
- Rebre (RX): FM 76-108MHz, AM 108-136MHz (Aviation), VHF 136-174MHz, 220-260MHz (1.25M), UHF 350-390MHz, 400-520MHz
Optimize scanning by setting the frequency range (108-520, Ver:2.0.9) via Menu > Scan > Frequency Range.

4.2. Channel Management (Zones and Channels)
The radio allows for customized communications across 10 zones, with each zone supporting up to 64 channels, totaling 640 channels. This feature is designed for advanced users requiring segmented frequency control.
To name zones, use the '#' key to switch input methods.

4.3. GPS and APRS Functions
The BAOFENG 5RH PRO provides GPS location sharing and APRS (Automatic Packet Reporting System) capabilities. These features allow you to view, share, and request location information, which is ideal for team coordination, hiking, camping, i situacions d'emergència.
- Activate GPS: Press and hold the side button 1.
- View Coordenades: Press and hold the red return button.
- Share/Request Location: Use the DTMF function. Program the IDs of your radio and your team members' radios in the CPS DTMF section, then set the Contact ID. Ensure each walkie-talkie has a different Self-ID.
For optimal GPS functionality in urban areas, it is recommended to use this feature on rooftops or in open areas.

4.4. Receptor meteorològic de la NOAA
The radio includes a NOAA Weather Receiver, allowing you to monitor weather alerts and conditions. This feature helps in preparing for severe weather events such as hurricanes, tornadoes, and storms.

4.5. Programació
The BAOFENG 5RH PRO supports CPS (Customer Programming Software) for advanced configuration. Please note that CHIRP and Odmaster APP are currently not available for this model.
For CPS programming, refer to the image below for instructions on how to download the software. If you experience abnormal radio function, a firmware upgrade may be necessary. Contact customer service for assistance with firmware upgrades.
