The THIRDREALITY Zigbee Vibration Sensor is a versatile smart home device designed to detect vibrations and provide alerts. It integrates seamlessly with various Zigbee hubs and platforms, offering enhanced security and automation capabilities for your home or office. Its compact design and adjustable features make it suitable for a wide range of applications, from monitoring doors and windows to tracking appliance cycles.

2. Què hi ha a la caixa

Upon unboxing your THIRDREALITY Zigbee Vibration Sensor, please ensure all components are present:

• 1 x Vibration Sensor
• 2 piles AAA (preinstal·lades)

4. Configuració i instal·lació

4.1 Battery Installation and Initial Configuration

The sensor comes with 2 AAA batteries pre-installed. To access the internal switches for sensitivity and siren control, gently open the sensor casing. Before inserting or replacing batteries, you can adjust the siren and sensitivity settings.

Siren On/Off Switch:

• Position '0' (ON): The 110dB siren will sound when vibration is detected.
• Position '1' (OFF): The siren will be muted, and only notifications will be sent to your connected hub/device.

Sensitivity Level Switches:

The sensor features four adjustable sensitivity levels. Use the two physical switches (labeled 'LEVEL') to set the desired sensitivity:

• 00 (UH): Ultra High Sensitivity
• 01 (H): High Sensitivity
• 10 (M): Medium Sensitivity
• 11 (L): Low Sensitivity

Choose a sensitivity level appropriate for your application. For example, a higher sensitivity might be suitable for detecting subtle movements on a jewelry box, while a lower sensitivity might be better for a washing machine to avoid false alarms.

4.2 Emparellament amb un concentrador Zigbee

The THIRDREALITY Zigbee Vibration Sensor utilizes the Zigbee 3.0 standard for broad compatibility. It can be integrated with various Zigbee hubs and devices, including:

• Zigbee Echo devices (Echo 4th Gen, Echo Plus 1st/2nd Gen, Echo Show 10 2nd/3rd Gen, Echo Studio, Eero 6, Eero Pro 6)
• SmartThings (requires specific driver for full functionality, refer to troubleshooting section)
• Home Assistant (ZHA and Z2M)
• hubitat
• Third Reality smart hub Gen2

Per vincular el sensor:

1. Ensure your Zigbee hub is in pairing mode.
2. Press and hold the 'RESET' button on the sensor (refer to Figure 4.1) until the indicator light flashes, indicating it's in pairing mode.
3. Once successfully paired, the indicator light will stop flashing, and the sensor will appear in your hub's device list.

4.3 Muntatge del sensor

The sensor can be mounted using adhesive tape (not included) or small screws (not included) depending on the surface and desired permanence. Place the sensor on the object or surface you wish to monitor. Ensure the surface is clean and dry for optimal adhesion if using tape.

5. Instruccions de funcionament

Once installed and paired, the THIRDREALITY Zigbee Vibration Sensor will detect vibrations based on its set sensitivity level and trigger actions configured in your smart home system.

5.1 Vibration Detection and Alerts

When the sensor detects a vibration exceeding its set threshold, it will:

• If the siren switch is ON, emit a 110dB alarm.
• Send a signal to your connected Zigbee hub.

Your smart home hub can then be configured to send notifications to your phone, trigger other smart devices, or activate routines.

5.2 Routine Creation and Versatile Usage

The sensor's primary utility lies in its ability to trigger smart routines. Here are some common application scenarios:

• Seguretat domèstica: Attach to windows or doors to detect forced entry. Receive instant alerts on your phone if a window breaks or a door is tamperigit amb.
• Appliance Monitoring: Place on washing machines or dryers to receive notifications when the cycle is complete (i.e., when the machine stops vibrating).
• Drawer/Cabinet Monitoring: Secure jewelry drawers, medicine cabinets, or file cabinets. Get alerts if they are opened or disturbed.
• Garage Door Monitoring: Attach to your garage door to know if it's opened or closed, providing peace of mind when you're away.
• Delivery Box Monitoring: Place inside a delivery box to get notified when a package is placed inside or removed.

6. Manteniment

6.1 Substitució de la bateria

The sensor is powered by 2 AAA batteries, offering a typical battery life of 1 year. When the battery level is low, your connected Zigbee hub should notify you. To replace the batteries:

1. Obriu suaument el sensor casing.
2. Traieu les piles AAA velles.
3. Insert two new AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
4. Tanca el casing de manera segura.

6.2 Neteja

To maintain optimal performance, periodically clean the sensor's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or excessive moisture, as these can damage the device.

7. Solució De Problemes

If you encounter issues with your THIRDREALITY Zigbee Vibration Sensor, please refer to the following common solutions:

• Sensor Not Responding/Offline:
  • Comproveu el nivell de la bateria i substituïu-la si cal.
  • Ensure the sensor is within range of your Zigbee hub.
  • Try re-pairing the sensor with your hub (refer to Section 4.2).
  • Perform a factory reset by holding the reset button for 10 seconds until the light flashes rapidly, then re-pair.
• False Alarms/Over-sensitivity:
  • Adjust the sensitivity level using the internal switches (refer to Section 4.1). Start with a lower sensitivity setting and gradually increase if needed.
  • Ensure the mounting surface is stable and not subject to unintended vibrations.
• Sensor Not Triggering/Under-sensitivity:
  • Increase the sensitivity level using the internal switches (refer to Section 4.1).
  • Ensure the sensor is firmly attached to the object being monitored.
• Siren Not Sounding:
  • Check the internal siren on/off switch (refer to Section 4.1) and ensure it is set to 'ON' (position '0').
  • Verify that the sensor is detecting vibrations and sending signals to the hub.
• SmartThings Specific Issue: For SmartThings users, it may be necessary to download and install a specific driver for the vibration sensor to ensure full functionality and proper recognition.
