3.1 Initial Pairing (Plug-and-Play)

The BrosTrend 5KM WiFi Bridge units come pre-paired from the factory for a simplified setup. To initiate the connection:

1. Place both AP (Transmitter) and Station (Receiver) units in the same room.
2. Connect each unit to its respective power adapter and PoE injector.
3. Power on both units. They will automatically detect and pair with each other within minutes.

3.2 Physical Installation and Mounting

The units are designed for outdoor use and can be mounted on a wall or pole. Ensure a clear line of sight between the two units for optimal performance.

Power over Ethernet (PoE) simplifies deployment by transmitting both data and power through a single Ethernet cable, allowing installation in locations without nearby power sources.

1. AP (Transmitter) Setup: Connect the LAN port of the AP unit to your main router or modem using an Ethernet cable.

4.2 Signal Strength Indicators

The Signal Strength LED indicators on the devices provide an intuitive way to monitor the connection quality between the AP and Station. More illuminated LEDs indicate a stronger and more reliable signal.

• LED1/LED2/LED3: These LEDs light up to show signal strength. If all three are lit, the signal is excellent. If only one is lit, the signal may not be optimal.

The Signal Strength LEDs provide visual feedback on the quality of the wireless link.

If you encounter issues with your BrosTrend 5KM WiFi Bridge, consider the following:

• Sense connexió/senyal feble: Ensure a clear line of sight between the AP and Station units. Obstacles such as trees, buildings, or large metal structures can significantly degrade signal quality. Verify that both units are powered on and their signal strength LEDs indicate a good connection.
• Configuration Access: If advanced configuration is needed, connect a computer directly to one of the units via an Ethernet cable. Access the web-based management interface using the default IP addresses (AP: 192.168.2.1, Station: 192.168.2.2) and credentials (Username: admin, Password: admin) as indicated on the product label.
