1. Instruccions de seguretat

Always read and understand this manual completely before operating the Scheppach MR230-61 ride-on lawn mower. Failure to follow instructions can result in serious injury or property damage.

• Utilitzeu equips de protecció individual (EPI) adequats, com ara protecció ocular, protecció auditiva, calçat resistent i pantalons llargs.
• Keep children and bystanders away from the operating area. Never allow children to operate the mower.
• Do not operate the mower under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication that may impair judgment.
• Inspect the area to be mowed for objects that could be thrown by the blades. Remove all debris.
• Always turn off the engine and remove the spark plug wire before performing any maintenance or clearing blockages.

3. Configuració

3.1 Muntatge inicial

The Scheppach MR230-61 requires minimal assembly. Ensure all components are present and undamaged before beginning.

• Handlebar and Seat Installation: Secure the handlebar and seat according to the diagrams in the separate assembly guide.
• Canal de descàrrega lateral: The side discharge chute is easy to mount. Attach it securely to the designated opening on the mowing deck if you intend to use this function.

3.2 Comprovacions prèvies a l'operació

Abans de cada ús, realitzeu les comprovacions següents:

• Nivell d'oli del motor: Comproveu el nivell d'oli del motor amb la vareta de nivell. Afegiu oli recomanat si cal.
• Nivell de combustible: Ompliu el dipòsit de combustible amb gasolina fresca sense plom. No l'ompliu massa.
• Pressió dels pneumàtics: Ensure all tires are inflated to the recommended pressure for optimal performance and stability.
• Battery Connection (for E-Start): Verify the battery is properly connected and charged for electric starting.
• Condició de la fulla: Inspect the mowing blades for sharpness and damage. Replace or sharpen as needed.

4. Instruccions de funcionament

4.1 Arrencada del motor

The MR230-61 features a hybrid start system, allowing for both electric and manual starting.

• Arrencada elèctrica: Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the 'START' position. Release once the engine starts.
• Pull Cord Start: If the electric start is not used, pull the starter cord firmly until the engine starts.

4.2 Engaging and Disengaging Blades

The mowing deck can be manually engaged and disengaged using the dedicated lever.

• To engage the blades, move the blade engagement lever to the 'ON' position.
• To disengage the blades, move the lever to the 'OFF' position. Always disengage blades when not mowing or when transporting the mower.

4.3 Ajust de l'alçada de tall

The cutting height can be centrally adjusted in 5 steps from 35 mm to 75 mm.

• Locate the cutting height adjustment lever.
• Move the lever to select the desired cutting height. Higher numbers correspond to a higher cut.

4.4 Gear Selection

The mower features 4 forward gears and 1 reverse gear for varying speeds and maneuverability.

• Use the gear lever to select the appropriate speed for the terrain and mowing conditions.
• Forward speeds: 1.5 km/h, 2.0 km/h, 4.0 km/h, 6.0 km/h.
• Reverse speed: 2.4 km/h.

4.5 Grass Collection and Side Discharge

The mower can either collect grass clippings in the 150 L grass catcher or discharge them from the side.

• Recollidor d'herba: Ensure the grass catcher is properly attached before mowing. Empty it regularly to maintain optimal collection performance.
• Descàrrega lateral: If using side discharge, ensure the chute is securely attached and clear of obstructions.

5. Manteniment

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Scheppach MR230-61.

5.1 Cleaning the Mowing Deck

The integrated water connection simplifies cleaning the underside of the mowing deck.

• After each use, connect a garden hose to the water connection on the deck.
• Start the engine and engage the blades for a short period to allow the water to clean the deck.
• Turn off the engine and disconnect the hose.

5.2 Manteniment del motor

• Canvi d'oli: Canvieu l'oli del motor després de les primeres 5 hores de funcionament i, a continuació, cada 25 hores o anualment, el que passi primer.
• Filtre d'aire: Netegeu o substituïu el filtre d'aire regularment, especialment en ambients amb molta pols.
• Bujía: Inspeccioneu i netegeu la bugia anualment. Substituïu-la si està desgastada.

5.3 Manteniment de les fulles

• Afilat: Keep the blades sharp for optimal cutting performance. Sharpen them regularly or as needed.
• Substitució: Replace bent, cracked, or excessively worn blades immediately.

5.4 Emmagatzematge

• Netegeu bé la tallagespa abans de guardar-la.
• Drain the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer if storing for an extended period.
• Guardeu la tallagespa en un lloc sec i ben ventilat, allunyat de la llum solar directa i de temperatures extremes.
