2. Configuració i instal·lació

Proper setup is crucial for optimal performance of your H4MIDI WC and WIDI Core. Follow these steps to get started.

2.1 H4MIDI WC Connections

The H4MIDI WC offers versatile connectivity options:

• E / S MIDI: Connect traditional MIDI hardware using the 5-pin DIN MIDI IN and OUT ports.
• USB-A Host Ports: Easily connect class-compliant USB MIDI instruments such as keyboards, controllers, effect pedals, and synthesizers. The device can accommodate up to 8 USB MIDI device ports via a standard USB hub (not included).
• Ports USB-C: Used for power and data, including presets.

3. Funcionament

The CME H4MIDI WC offers powerful MIDI control and routing capabilities, enhanced by the optional WIDI Core.

3.1 Real-Time MIDI Control

The H4MIDI WC allows for effortless configuration of various MIDI functions:

• MIDI Thru: Passes MIDI data from an input directly to an output.
• MIDI Split: Routes a single MIDI input to multiple outputs.
• MIDI Merge: Combines MIDI data from multiple inputs into a single output.
• Mapeador MIDI: Transforms MIDI messages, allowing for custom control assignments.
• Filtre MIDI: Blocks specific MIDI messages (e.g., Note On/Off, Control Change) from passing through.

3.2 HxMIDI Tools Software

Advanced MIDI routing and processing features are configured using the HxMIDI Tools software, available for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android. This software provides a graphical interface for customizing the H4MIDI WC's behavior.

3.3 Modes operatius

The H4MIDI WC supports various operational modes to suit different setups:

• Innovate Mode: Utilizes the optional WIDI Core for ultra-low latency Premium Bluetooth MIDI. This mode enables wireless communication between your H4MIDI WC and other Bluetooth MIDI devices.

• Personalitza el mode: Allows for detailed MIDI routing, filtering, and mapping configurations via the HxMIDI Tools software. This mode provides granular control over MIDI data flow.
• Expand Mode: Extends the H4MIDI WC's capabilities to support up to 8-in-8-out HOST ports in addition to its 2-in-2-out traditional MIDI I/O. This is achieved by connecting a standard USB hub to the USB-A port.

4. Manteniment

To ensure the longevity and reliable operation of your CME H4MIDI WC and WIDI Core, follow these general maintenance guidelines:

• Neteja: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the exterior of the device. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or excessive moisture, which can damage the finish or internal components.
• Emmagatzematge: When not in use, store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity.
• Connexions: Periodically check all cable connections to ensure they are secure and free from damage. Avoid bending cables sharply or putting strain on the ports.

5. Solució De Problemes

If you encounter issues with your CME H4MIDI WC or WIDI Core, consider the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Ensure the power adapter (5V USB or 9V DC) is correctly connected and providing power.

  • Check Bluetooth settings on your host device (computer, tablet, phone) and ensure it's discoverable and paired with the WIDI Core.
  • Update the WIDI app and firmware for the WIDI Core.
