1. Introducció

Thank you for choosing the Timex Waterbury Chronograph 41mm Watch. This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your timepiece. The Waterbury Chronograph combines classic design with modern functionality, featuring a precise chronograph, tachymeter, and date display, all housed in a durable stainless-steel case with 100m water resistance.

3. Configuració inicial

3.1 Configuració de l'hora

  1. Estireu la corona fins a la posició 2 (la més allunyada). La maneta dels segons s'aturarà.
  2. Rotate the crown to move the hour and minute hands clockwise until the desired time is set. Ensure AM/PM is correctly set if your watch has a 24-hour indicator.

Note: Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can interfere with the automatic date change mechanism. If you need to set the date during this period, first set the time outside this range, adjust the date, then reset the time.

3.3 Chronograph Hand Reset

If the chronograph hands (sub-dials) are not aligned to the zero position when reset, they may need calibration:

  2. Press pusher A (top pusher) repeatedly to advance the chronograph second hand to the 12 o'clock (zero) position.
  3. Press pusher B (bottom pusher) repeatedly to advance the chronograph minute hand to the 12 o'clock (zero) position.
  4. Once all chronograph hands are aligned, push the crown back in to position 0.

The chronograph function allows you to measure elapsed time up to a certain duration (e.g., 30 or 60 minutes, depending on the movement).

  1. Inici: Press pusher A to start the chronograph. The chronograph second hand will begin to move.
  2. Atura: Press pusher A again to stop the chronograph. Read the elapsed time from the chronograph second and minute sub-dials.
  3. Restablir: After stopping, press pusher B to reset all chronograph hands to their zero positions.
  4. Temps parcial (si escau): Some chronographs allow for split-time measurement. Consult the specific movement instructions if this feature is present.

4.2 Using the Tachymeter

The tachymeter scale on the bezel is used to measure speed over a known distance (e.g., 1 kilometer or 1 mile).

  1. Start the chronograph (Pusher A) at the beginning of the measured distance (e.g., a mile marker).
  2. Stop the chronograph (Pusher A) when you reach the end of the measured distance.
  3. The number indicated by the chronograph second hand on the tachymeter scale represents the average speed per hour for that distance. For example, if the second hand points to '60' after 1 minute, your average speed was 60 units per hour (e.g., 60 mph or 60 km/h).

5. Cura i Manteniment

5.1 Resistència a l'aigua

Your Timex Waterbury Chronograph watch is water resistant to 100 meters (330 feet). This means it is suitable for showering, swimming, and snorkeling. However, it is no adequat per al submarinisme.

  • Avoid prolonged exposure to water, direct sunlight, and extreme temperatures.
