Compatibility and Fitment

Before installation, it is crucial to verify that the BAFANG BBSHD mid-drive motor is compatible with your bicycle's bottom bracket. The motor is designed for specific bottom bracket widths.

• The motor primarily supports 3 standard bottom bracket sizes: 68-73mm, 100mm, and 120mm.
• For 250W/350W/500W/750W motors, the bottom bracket length should be 68-73mm.
• For 1000W motors, options include 68mm, 100mm, or 120mm bottom brackets.
• If your bike's bottom bracket is not a standard size, you may need additional washers. For example, a 90mm bike may require a 100mm motor with a 10mm washer.
• The inner diameter of the bottom bracket should not be less than 33.5mm.
• Important: It is not recommended to install this motor on bikes with carbon fiber frames due to potential damage to the frame.

1. Prepare Your Bicycle

Battery Management System (BMS) Protection

Each battery is equipped with a BMS protection board. This system ensures balanced charging and protects against:
