Setting up your Veepeak OBD2 Scanner is a straightforward process:

Navigate the scanner's menu using the arrow keys (Up, Down, Left, Right) and confirm selections with the "OK" button. Use the "EXIT" button to go back to the previous screen.

1. Engine Diagnostics (OBD/EOBD)

This function allows you to read and clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) that trigger the Check Engine Light.

From the main menu, select "OBD/EOBD".
To read codes, select "Read Codes". The scanner will display any active or pending DTCs.
To clear codes, select "Erase Codes". Confirm your choice when prompted. This will turn off the Check Engine Light.

3. Preparació I/M

Check the status of emission-related systems to determine if your vehicle is ready for an emissions test.

Select "I/M Readiness" from the main menu.
The screen will show the status of various monitors (e.g., Misfire Monitor, Fuel System Monitor, Catalyst Monitor) as "OK", "INC" (Incomplete), or "N/A" (Not Available).

4. O2 Sensor Test (Mode 05)

Retrieves O2 sensor monitoring test results for the most recently completed tests.

Select "O2 Sensor" from the main menu.
View the results for O2 sensor performance.

5. On-Board Monitor Test (Mode 06)

7. Performance Test & Instrument Data

This feature allows you to test vehicle acceleration and braking performance, and display important dashboard data.

Select "Performance Vehicle Info" from the main menu.
Choose between "Acceleration Performance", "Braking Performance", "Distance Performance", or "Meter Data" to view informació rellevant.

8. Cerca DTC

Quickly look up the definition of a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) using the built-in database.

Select "DTC LOOKUP" from the main menu.
Enter the DTC using the arrow keys and "OK" button. The scanner will display the code's definition.

9. Cloud Print

Generate a QR code to view and save trouble codes, data streams, or freeze frame data on your phone, or print it.

Select "Cloud Print" from the main menu.
Choose the type of data you wish to print (DTC, Data Stream, Freeze Frame).
A QR code will be generated on the screen. Scan it with your smartphone to access the data.

10. Bateria Voltage Lectura

Resolució de problemes

If you encounter issues with your Veepeak OBD2 Scanner, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

"Linking Error" or "Communication Error":
- Confirm the vehicle is OBD2/EOBD compliant and manufactured within the supported years.
- Ensure the ignition is "ON".
- Try connecting the scanner to a different compatible vehicle to rule out a scanner issue.
Cannot Clear Codes:
- Ensure the underlying issue causing the code has been resolved. Codes will reappear if the fault persists.
- Some codes may require multiple drive cycles to clear after a repair.
Does Not Read ABS/Airbag/TPMS Codes:
- This tool is specifically designed for OBD-II (engine and emissions related) systems. It does not read or reset non-OBD-II systems like ABS, airbag, or TPMS.
