3. App Installation and Camera Pairing

Download the Blink Home Monitor app to your smartphone or tablet to set up and manage your camera.

1. Download the "Blink Home Monitor" app from your device's app store.
2. Create a new Blink account or log in to an existing one.
3. Follow the in-app instructions to add your new Blink Outdoor 2K+ camera. This typically involves scanning a QR code on the camera and connecting it to your Sync Module.
4. Ensure your smartphone meets the minimum requirements: iOS 16.4+, Android 10+, or Fire OS 8 only.

• If "Night Vision" is ON, the camera will use its IR LEDs and record in black and white.

3. Image Quality or Night Vision Issues

If you are experiencing unexpected image quality or night vision behavior:

• Color Vision: For color video in low light, ensure the "Night Vision" setting in the app is set to OFF. Sufficient ambient light is required for this feature.
• Infrared (Black & White): If "Night Vision" is ON, the camera will use its IR LEDs and record in black and white, regardless of ambient light.
