4. Requisits d'instal·lació

Before installation, ensure your setup meets the following criteria:

• Suitable for flush-mounted devices.
• The installation surface must be strong, level, and flat.
• Maximum pull force: 45 kg.
• Maximum permissible shutter surface area: approximately 6 m² for plastic roller shutters, or 3 m² for aluminum and wooden roller shutters.
• Compatible with belts 15 to 23 mm wide.
• Distance between fixing centers: 165 mm or 185 mm.

6. Passos d'instal·lació

1. Lower the Shutter: Completely lower the roller shutter before starting the installation.

3. Extend the Belt: Fully extend the belt from its housing.
4. Remove Old Winder: When removing the old belt winder, be careful as the pre-tensioned spring can cause sudden movements. Handle with care to prevent injuries.
5. Prepare the Belt: Cut the belt at the 20cm mark, ensuring a straight edge for the new accessory. Make a 2cm cut in the belt to accommodate the gear mechanism of the new device.

10. Install Reel Compartment Cover: After securing the belt, place the reel compartment cover to protect the assembly.

12. Hide Mounting Hardware: Place the cover over the fixing holes to conceal the mounting hardware.

The Meross MRS200 supports Matter, allowing integration with various smart home platforms. Ensure your smartphone and Matter device are connected to the same 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. Matter devices DO NOT support 5 GHz Wi-Fi. Also, ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone (iOS 16.1+ or Android 8.1+ with Bluetooth 4.2+).

7.1. Adding to Google Home

Follow these steps to add your Matter device to Google Home:

1. Open the Google Home app on your device.
2. Click the "+" symbol and then select "Add Device".
3. Select "Matter" from the list of device types.
4. Click "Scan QR Code" and scan the QR code on your device or packaging.
5. Wait for the device to connect. This may take some time.
6. Choose a location for your device and name it.
7. After connecting the device, click "Complete".

7.2. Adding to Amazon Alexa

Follow these steps to add your Matter device to Amazon Alexa:

1. Open the Amazon Alexa app on your device.
2. Click the "+" symbol and then select "Add Device".
3. Select "Matter" from the list of device types.
4. Click "Scan QR Code" and scan the QR code on your device or packaging.
5. Wait for the device to connect. This may take some time.
6. Click "Next" to complete the configuration.

7.3. Sharing Matter Device with Other Platforms

After adding the device to one platform, you may need to add it to another. To do this, you need to activate pairing mode and generate a new pairing code. The methods are as follows:

1. Go to the device configuration page in the Google Home or Amazon Alexa app.
2. Click on "Linked Matter apps & services" (Google Home) or "Other Assistants and Applications" (Alexa).
3. Click on "Link apps & services" or "Add another" to create a new installation code.
4. Copy the new configuration code that appears. This code is temporary and valid for about 3 minutes.

*Scan the QR code for more information on Multi-Admin (cross-platform configuration).

7.4. Adding Paired Matter Devices to the Meross App

While Matter provides general daily use configuration, some advanced functions (like energy statistics, firmware updates, and other advanced options) are only accessible through the Meross App. Ensure your phone and Matter device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. First, complete the Matter device configuration in Google Home or Alexa, then add it to the Meross App.

1. Open the Meross App and click on "+".
2. The paired Matter device will be automatically found. Click "Add".

8. Calibració automàtica

After successful pairing, perform Automatic Calibration. This process detects and sets the upper and lower limits of the roller shutter based on a set midpoint, allowing for precise percentage-based control of the shutter position.

1. Manually place your roller shutter at the midpoint of the window. You can operate and stop the shutter by clicking the 'up' or 'down' buttons.
2. In the Meross app, click 'Start Calibration'. Your shutter will automatically move up and down for about 1-2 minutes before stopping in the fully open position. Stay nearby to ensure successful calibration. Avoid interruptions and do not turn off the power during this process.

Nota: Without calibration, the roller shutter will only support full open or full close operations, without percentage ajust.

9. Light Sensor Configuration

The light sensor measures environmental light levels, facilitating automated control of the roller shutter to improve energy efficiency, security, and home comfort. Using this feature requires the installation of the included light sensor and activation of the function.

1. Connect the Light Sensor to the device following the diagram. Avoid using excessive force that could damage the interface, and do not sharply bend the sensor cable.
2. Install the Light Sensor in the lower corner of the window, following the diagram, and avoid placing it too high (minimum 20cm from the bottom). Fix the sensor to the glass using the suction cup.
3. The "Solar Position" must be set just above the light sensor to ensure the sensor is not obstructed by the roller shutter. This preset position is crucial for allowing automatic adjustment of the shutter based on specific light conditions. An incorrect position can affect the accuracy of the measurement and potentially disable the function.
4. Test the sensor by pointing it towards a bright area, a dimly lit area, covering the light input, etc. Observe the corresponding changes in brightness in the app to ensure the sensor is functioning correctly. This can be done in the setup assistant or within the device settings.

If you do not need this feature, you can skip the light sensor installation. It will not affect the main function of the device.

10.1. Control manual

You can manually operate the roller shutter using the physical 'up' and 'down' buttons on the device.

• Temperature-based Control: When connected to compatible temperature sensors (e.g., HomePod/MTS200), shutters can close automatically if the temperature exceeds 30°C and reopen at 22°C for optimal comfort.
• Safety Automation: Link to smoke detectors (sold separately) to automatically open roller shutters in emergencies for ventilation.
