The Hanchen HC-918 is a versatile 3/4 HP shallow well pump and automatic booster system designed for various water transfer and pressure boosting applications. 4. Instal·lació i configuració
Proper installation is crucial for the safe and efficient operation of your pump. Consult local plumbing and electrical codes.
4.1 Selecció del lloc:
- Instal·leu la bomba en un lloc sec i ben ventilat, protegit de la llum solar directa, la pluja i les temperatures de congelació.
- Assegureu-vos que la bomba estigui col·locada sobre una superfície estable i plana per minimitzar les vibracions.
- Allow adequate space around the pump for ventilation and maintenance.
4.2 Connexions de fontaneria:
- Connect the suction line (inlet) to your water source (e.g., shallow well). Ensure the suction line is airtight to prevent air leaks, which can cause the pump to lose prime.
- Install the provided check valve on the inlet line. This is essential for the water flow sensor to function correctly and to maintain prime.
- Connect the discharge line (outlet) to your household plumbing or irrigation system.
- Use appropriate pipe fittings and sealing tape to ensure all connections are watertight.

4.3 Aciment de la bomba:
- Before initial operation, the pump must be primed. Remove the water injection port plug (refer to Figure 2.2).
- Ompliu la bomba casing completely with water until it overflows from the injection port.
- Replace the water injection port plug securely.
4.4 Connexió elèctrica:
- Connect the pump to a dedicated, grounded electrical circuit with appropriate voltage (e.g., 110V for typical household use).
- Ensure the power supply matches the pump's requirements.
4.5 Adjusting Start Pressure:
The pump features an adjustable start pressure setting to meet different inlet water pressure requirements. Locate the cut-in pressure adjustment dial (refer to Figure 4.2) and rotate it to set the desired starting pressure. Note: The stop pressure cannot be adjusted.

5. Funcionament
Once installed and primed, the Hanchen HC-918 pump operates automatically.
5.1 Automatic Start and Stop:
The pump is equipped with a built-in water pressure sensor and water flow sensor. When a tap or water outlet is opened, the system detects a drop in pressure and water flow, automatically starting the pump. When the tap is closed and water flow ceases, the pump will automatically shut off after a short delay.

5.2 Aplicacions:

6. Manteniment
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Hanchen pump.
- Inspecció periòdica: Periodically check all plumbing connections for leaks and tighten as necessary. Inspect the power cord for any damage.
- Neteja: Keep the pump exterior clean and free from debris. Ensure the cooling fan (Figure 2.2) is not obstructed to allow for proper heat dissipation.
- Hivernització: If the pump is installed in an area subject to freezing temperatures, it must be drained completely to prevent damage. Disconnect power, open the drain screw (Figure 2.2), and allow all water to exit the pump and associated piping.

7. Solució De Problemes
