Configuració i instal·lació
1. Instal·lació del disc dur
The Yottamaster PS500C3 supports both 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch SATA HDDs and SSDs. The enclosure features removable trays for easy installation.
- Press the cabinet door to release it, then pull out an empty drive bracket.
- For a 3.5-inch HDD: Align the hard drive with the bracket and secure it using the provided screws.
- For a 2.5-inch HDD/SSD: Place the 2.5-inch drive into the bracket and secure it with the provided screws.
- Slide the loaded bracket back into an empty bay in the hard disk cabinet until it clicks into place.

2. Connecting the Enclosure
- Connect the power adapter (DC 12V/6.5A) to the enclosure's DC input port and then to a power outlet.
- Connect the provided USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-C data cable from the enclosure's Type-C port to a compatible USB Type-C port on your computer (Desktop, Laptop, MacBook, MacBook Pro).
- Press the power button on the back of the enclosure to turn it on.

3. Initial Drive Preparation
If you are using brand new hard drives, they may need to be formatted and partitioned before they can be recognized and used by your computer. Please refer to your operating system's disk management tools for instructions on how to format and partition drives. Always back up your data before formatting.

Compatibilitat

The PS500C3 supports the normal operation of five hard drives, provided that the total power consumption of all installed hard drives does not exceed 78W. For users with high-power hard drives, it is recommended to provide additional external power sources for those specific hard drives if the total exceeds 78W.

Drive Not Recognized

The Yottamaster PS500C3 model is a non-RAID version and does not support hardware RAID. If you intend to set up a RAID configuration, you must use software RAID tools available within your operating system. For example, macOS users can utilize the RAID Assistant in Disk Utility. Yottamaster RAID Manager software is compatible only with RAID version enclosures.
