Digital Clamp Meter support FAQ

Preguntes freqüents sobre manuals, registre i assistència per a aquesta marca.

  • How do I measure current with a digital clamp metre?

To measure current, turn the rotary switch to the current setting, open the clamp jaws using the handle, enclose a single conductor (wire), and read the value on the LCD. Do not clamp around multiple wires, as the currents will cancel out and provide an inaccurate reading.

  • What does 'OL' mean on the digital display?

'OL' stands for Over Load or Over Limit. It indicates that the value being measured exceeds the active range setting. If your clamp meter has manual range selection, switch to a higher range to get the reading.

  • How do I use the HOLD function?

Press the 'HOLD' button to freeze the measurement currently shown on the display. This is highly useful when measuring in tight spaces where you cannot immediately see the screen. Press 'HOLD' again to return to live continuous measurement.

  • Why does my clamp meter read slightly above 0 when not testing anything?

This is common with DC current settings due to residual magnetism in the clamp jaws. Before measuring, press the 'REL' (Relative) or 'ZERO' button to clear the display back to zero for accurate measurement results.
