Muntatge de l'escalfador

Before using the heater, the feet (supplied separately in the carton) must be fitted to the unit. These are to be attached to the base of the heater using the 4 self-tapping screws provided, taking care to ensure that they are located correctly in the bottom ends of the heater side moldings.

Instruccions de seguretat

1. Do not use the heater unless the feet are correctly attached if the heater is used as a portable appliance.
2. Assegureu-vos que l’alimentació de la presa a la qual està connectat l’escalfador sigui d’acord amb l’etiqueta nominal de l’escalfador i que la presa estigui connectada a terra.
3. Mantingueu el cable de xarxa lluny del cos calent de l'escalfador.
4. The heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas, or similar indoor locations. Never place the heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
5. No utilitzar a l'aire lliure.
6. No tapeu ni obstruïu cap de les reixes de sortida de calor ni les obertures d'entrada d'aire de l'escalfador.
7. No col·loqueu l’escalfador a les catifes amb un munt molt profund.
8. Assegureu-vos sempre que l'escalfador estigui col·locat en una superfície plana i ferma. Assegureu-vos que l'escalfador no es col·loqui a prop de cortines o mobles, ja que això podria crear un perill d'incendi.
9. No col·loqueu l'escalfador davant o immediatament a sota d'una presa de corrent.
10. No introduïu cap objecte per la sortida de calor o les reixes d'entrada d'aire de l'escalfador.
11. No utilitzeu l'escalfador en zones on s'emmagatzemen líquids inflamables o on hi pugui haver vapors inflamables.
12. S'ha de tenir especial cura quan l'escalfador està situat en zones ocupades per nens o persones invàlides.
13. Desconnecteu sempre l'escalfador quan el traslladeu d'un lloc a un altre.
14. Do not use the heater if the power cord is damaged. If the power cord is damaged it must be replaced by a recognized service agent or other qualified person. If the plug is damaged, see Plug Replacement details below.
15. Els nens petits han de ser supervisats per assegurar-se que no juguin amb l'aparell.
16. Aquest aparell no està pensat per ser utilitzat per persones (inclosos nens) amb capacitats físiques, sensorials o mentals reduïdes, o amb manca d'experiència i coneixements, tret que hagin rebut la supervisió o instruccions sobre l'ús de l'aparell per una persona responsable de la seva seguretat.

Precaució: Per tal d'evitar un perill a causa d'un reinici accidental de l'apagador tèrmic, aquest aparell no s'ha d'alimentar a través d'un dispositiu de commutació extern, com ara un temporitzador, ni connectat a un circuit que s'encengui i s'apaga periòdicament per la xarxa elèctrica.

Funcionament de l'escalfador

Nota: És normal que quan els calefactors s'encenen per primera vegada o quan s'encenen després d'haver no utilitzat durant un llarg període de temps, els calefactors poden emetre una mica d'olor i fums. Això desapareixerà quan l'escalfador estigui encès poc temps.

Choose a suitable location for the heater, taking into account the safety instructions above. Insert the plug of the heater into a suitable socket. Turn the thermostat knob fully in a clockwise direction to the maximum setting. Turn on the heating elements by means of the rocker switches on the side panel. When the heating elements are on, the switches will illuminate. For maximum heat output, both switches should be on. When the desired room temperature has been reached, the thermostat knob should be turned slowly anti-clockwise until the thermostat is heard to click off and the lights on the element switches are seen to go out. After this, the heater will keep the air temperature in the room at the set temperature by switching on and off automatically.

• Trieu un lloc adequat per a l’escalfador, tenint en compte les instruccions de seguretat anteriors.
• Introduïu l'endoll de l'escalfador en una presa adequada.
• Gireu el comandament del termòstat completament en el sentit de les agulles del rellotge fins al màxim.

NETEJA DE L'ESCALFADOR
Desconnecteu sempre l’escalfador de la presa de corrent i deixeu-lo refredar abans de netejar-lo.
Netegeu l'exterior de l'escalfador amb un anunciamp un drap i polir amb un drap sec.
No utilitzeu detergents ni abrasius i no deixeu entrar aigua a l’escalfador.

emmagatzemar l'escalfador
Quan l'escalfador no s'utilitza durant llargs períodes de temps, s'ha de protegir de la pols i emmagatzemar-lo en un lloc net i sec.

Preguntes freqüents

What should I do if my heater emits a smell when first turned on?

It is normal for heaters to emit some smell and fumes when turned on for the first time or after a long period of non-use. Allow the heater to run for a short while to dissipate these odors.
