microAUDIO EDITOR is an application that lets you configure the filter (only for the microAUDIO 722), effect and MIDI settings.

Follow the steps below to install on Windows.

  1. Double-click “microAUDIO_Editor_Installer.exe” to launch the installer.
  2. Once the microAUDIO Editor Installer appears, follow the onscreen instructions to install.

About the MIDI Driver and Audio Driver
microAUDIO EDITOR communicates with your device using MIDI. Install the KORG USB-MIDI driver.
To use the microAUDIO with a DAW, install the microAUDIO Audio Driver.

Installing on a Mac
Follow the steps below to install on a Mac.

  1. Double-click “microAUDIO_Editor.dmg” to mount the installer.
  2. Drag the “KORG microAUDIO EDITOR” folder to the Applications folder.

About the MIDI Driver and Audio Driver
Neither the MIDI Driver nor the Audio Driver need to be installed on the Mac.

Launching microAUDIO EDITOR
  1. Use a USB cable to connect the micro AUDIO to your computer.
  2. Launch microAUDIO EDITOR.
    Mac: Launch KORG microAUDIO EDITOR, which is located in your “Applications” folder.
    Windows 11: Launch KORG microAUDIO EDITOR from the “Start” menu – “All.”

  3. Once the microAUDIO is connected, the CONNECT indicator lights up.
    The parameters of the microAUDIO EDITOR then synchronize with the microAUDIO.
  4. Press the RECEIVE button if you want to load the microAUDIO parameter settings into micro-AUDIO EDITOR.
    Press the TRANSMIT button if you want to transfer the microAUDIO EDITOR parameter settings into the microAUDIO.

Nota: When SETTINGS – AUTO RECALL is ON, the parameter settings of the microAUDIO are automati-cally loaded into microAUDIO EDITOR.

  1. Indicador CONNECT
    Lights up when the microAUDIO is connected to the app.
  2. FX indicator
    Lights up when the effects are ON.
  3. Indicador LINK
    Lights up when the stereo link function is ON.

    Transmits the microAUDIO EDITOR parameters to the microAUDIO.

    microAUDIO EDITOR receives the parameters from the microAUDIO.

    Shows the name of the file that’s currently being edited. Click to select a different file.

Synchronizing parameters
When you press the TRANSMIT button, all of the parameters are transmitted to the microAUDIO and saved there.

The parameters in the FILTER and FX tabs are transmitted to the microAUDIO when you operate microAUDIO EDITOR, and are automatically saved there after about five seconds.
When you turn off the microAUDIO and turn it back on again, the unit starts up with the saved set-tings.

For parameters that have corresponding controls on the microAUDIO, the control positions on the front panels are given priority.

About microAUDIO EDITOR files
El files created on microAUDIO EDITOR are saved in the folders below.

[Windows] -/Documents/KORG/microAUDIO/Presets/User
Consell: Si a file is moved, it can’t be accessed from microAUDIO EDITOR.

700S Filter
TALLADA
This adjusts the cutoff frequency. Turning the knob counterclockwise makes the sound darker, and turning it clockwise makes the sound brighter.

FILTER ROUTING
Selects whether to apply the 700S FILTER to either the INPUT or USB of the microAUDIO, and selects the channel.

RESONÀNCIA
Emphasizes the harmonics in the frequency region near the cutoff frequency. Turn this knob clock-wise to emphasize the harmonics.

TIPUS DE FILTRES
Switches between the LO (low-pass filter), BYPASS and HI (high-pass filter) modes.
When this is set to BYPASS, the input signal is converted to digital without going through the analog filter circuit at all.

LFO/ENVELOPE FOLLOWER
Selects the modulation source for the cutoff frequency: LFO or envelope follower.

TARIFA
Sets the speed of the LFO.

RANGO DE TARIFES
Selects the setting range for the RATE.

MODE DE SINCRONITZACIÓ
GRATIS: The LFO speed is set to the value that’s set in RATE.
SINCRONITZACIÓ: Synchronizes to the MIDI clock.

INTENSITAT
Specifies the depth of the LFO modulation.

TIPUS D'ONA
Sets the LFO waveform to one of the following: Triangle, Saw Up, Saw Down, Square or Sine.

Adjusts the gain of the audio signal that’s input to the envelope follower.

Consell The INPUT 1 and INPUT 2 parameters are shown respectively when the stereo link function is OFF.

FX ROUTING (only for the microAUDIO 722)

  • Selects whether to apply the compressor/limiter before the 700S FILTER or after.
  • PRE: The compressor/limiter is applied before the 700S FILTER.
  • PUBLICACIÓ: The compressor/limiter is applied after the 700S FILTER.

PORTA DEL SOroll
This turns down the output to reduce noise when the input signal is low.

FX ON/OFF
Switches the noise gate ON/OFF.

TIPUS
Selects whether to apply the noise gate in HARD or SOFT mode.

ALliberament
Set how long it takes to turn down the output.

SENSIBILITAT
Sets the sensitivity (the threshold for signal considered to be noise).

COMPRESSOR / LIMITER
COMP: Adjusts the dynamic range (the range between high and low volumes).
LIMITADOR: Limits the signal to a fixed volume, eliminating sudden peaks.

FX ON/OFF
Switches the compressor/limiter ON and OFF.

TIPUS
Selects whether to apply the compressor in HARD or SOFT mode.

ATAC
Set how long it takes to compress the volume.

SENSIBILITAT
Sets the operating sensitivity.

Consell: The parameters in the SETTINGS tab are transmitted/received to and from the microAUDIO when the RECEIVE/TRANSMIT button is pressed.

OPCIONS
Tie The AUTO RECALL parameter is not saved in the microAUDIO EDITOR file

REC OUT

  • Selects whether to pass the audio through the effects and the 700S FILTER when outputting to USB Audio channels 1-2.
  • RAW: The sound is output directly to USB channels 1-2 without passing through the effects and the 700S FILTER.
    PROCESSED: The sound is output to USB channels 1-2 after passing through the effects and the 7005 FILTER.

CONFIGURACIÓ DEL DISPOSITIU
Opens the control panel, where you can configure the sampling frequency and other settings.

AUTO RECALL
When this is ON, the parameters of the microAUDIO are loaded into microAUDIO EDITOR when connecting to the microAUDIO.

MIDI

GLOBAL MIDI CH
Sets the global MIDI channel.

CLOCK SOURCE (only for the microAUDIO 722)
Selects whether to receive the MIDI CLOCKS from the MIDI INPUT or from USB.
When this is set to AUTO, USB is given priority.

ROUTING (only for the microAUDIO 722)

E / S MIDI: Passes the messages from MIDI INPUT through to the computer.
CONTROLADOR: Controls the microAUDIO with the messages from MIDI INPUT.

Resolució de problemes

Cannot launch the software

  • Check whether your computer meets the operating requirements of this software.
  • The app may fail to launch or data transfer may fail if another application is running. If the data transfer fails, exit all other applications and try the operation again.
  • The app may fail to launch or data transfer may fail if another USB device is connected. If the data transfer fails, unplug the other USB devices from your computer and try the opera tion again.

Data transfer is unsuccessful

  • Make sure that the microAUDIO is recognized by the computer to which it is connected.
    If you’re using Windows, open the Control Panel and check “Hardware and Sound” → “Device Manager” “Sound, video and game controllers” to check the settings there.
    If you’re using a Mac, open “Applications” “Utilities” launch “Audio MIDI Setup”, and select “Show MIDI Studio” under the “Window” menu to check the settings in the “MIDI Studio” window.
  • If the device is connected via USB on Windows, make sure that the computer has the latest KORG USB-MIDI Driver installed.
    Download the latest KORG USB-MIDI Driver from the Korg weblloc.
