This Quick Start Installation Guide is designed to guide you through installing Midmark® Imaging and Midmark Device Suite.
Requisits del sistema recomanats:
The computer must be capable of installing .NET 4.8.1. This library will be automatically installed as part of the Midmark Imaging installation process. .NET 4.8.1 is required for the software to run.
It is recommended that the operating system be fully up to date to ensure the security and functionality of the system.

A back-up storage device is recommended (DVD, External Hard Drive, other).
Note: Windows 10 or 11 Home Edition is NOT recommended. Windows Small Business Server is NOT supported. Any Windows Server acting as Domain Controller is NOT supported. ARM processors (e.g., Snapdragon) are NOT supported. Apple products are NOT supported. Table PC editions are supported by Microsoft but are not recommended for use with Midmark Imaging Software.
2. Install Midmark Device Suite & Midmark® Imaging
This section explains how to install Midmark Device Suite & Midmark® Imaging application.
For all existing Vantage Pan installations, please consult with the Midmark Imaging Support Group prior to attempting to upgrade.
Installation or Upgrade Prerequisites
You must install Midmark Device Suite & Midmark® Imaging on every computer where you want to view, acquire, and store images. You must plan to have the following items either available or accounted for:
- Plan for the installation to take anywhere between 10 to 60 minutes depending on the speed of your computer.
- The User must be logged in with Windows administrator privileges.
- The PC must have the latest Window updates installed and has been rebooted.
- A backup using the Midmark Imaging Backup & Restore utility has been created.
- Midmark® Imaging (Previously called Progeny® Imaging) and Device Suite must be uninstalled prior to attempting to install the newer versions. If a 32-bit and 64-bit version of Device Suite are installed, both must be uninstalled.
Note: Any previous version of Midmark® Imaging (or Progeny® Imaging) must be uninstalled prior to the Device Suite uninstallation.
Software Installation for Device Suite

| 1. | To install this software package, launch the “Setup.exe” file. |  |
| 2. | In the Software Installer, select “Install Midmark Device Suite”.
Note: The installation software requires Microsoft .NET Framework revision 4.8. This software will be installed if it is not yet present to the operating system. Follow all on screen prompts. |

| 3. | If prerequisites were installed, a message will appear stating that the computer needs to reboot. Select “Ok” to restart the computer. Once the computer is back on, repeat steps 1 & 2. |  |
| 4. | Select the appropriate device(s) you intend to use with the Imaging Software and Click “Install”. |  |
| 5. | If the “Midmark Device Suite Setup” is displayed, select “install.” |  |

Software Installation for Midmark® Imaging

The Midmark Device Suite software must be installed prior to attempting to install the Midmark® Imaging software. |

| 2. | If your computer does not have MS SQL Server 2019 Express Edition installed, you will see a license agreement. Click “Accept”. | |

To Log in for the First Time
1. On your computer’s desktop, double-click the Midmark® Imaging icon, or select Midmark® Imaging from your Windows Start menu.
2. In the Login Screen Username field, type Administrator.
3. Leave the Password field blank.
4. Feu clic a Inicia la sessió.
Note: The Login Screen is not displayed in the veterinary version of the software.
To Download the Calibration File
This section is only when connecting a Midmark IO Digital Sensor or Midmark DR Sensor for the first time.
1. Once the software is launched and the main screen is displayed, select the devices dropdown menu.

2. Select the “Midmark IO Digital Sensor” or the “Midmark DR Sensor” option.
3. Wait while the calibration file automatically downloads.
4. Once it is done downloading, the status indicator will turn green and the sensor is ready for use.

Note: Confirm proper functionality before attempting to use a new sensor on a patient. To do this, verifying the sensor with a test object.
