What ZINPLEX TRIPLE PLUS Tablets are and what it is used for ® ZINPLEX TRIPLE PLUS Tablets contain vitamins and minerals that support the immune function, help in wound healing and contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.Zinc is an essential element of nutrition that assists in connective tissue formation, the maintenance of a healthy skin, together with immune function and good health. It also assists the body to metabolise carbohydrates, fats and protein and contributes to normal cognitive function. Selenium is a necessary trace element that acts as an antioxidant assisting with the maintenance of good health. Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) is one of the vitamins that play a major role in the body to maintain good health. It helps in the development and maintenance of bones, cartilage, teeth and gums. It also assists the body to metabolise fats and proteins and assists in connective tissue formation, wound healing and  contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.Cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) helps in development and maintenance of strong  bones and teeth and contributes to the maintenance of normal muscle function.
   2. What you need to know before you take ZINPLEX TRIPLE PLUS Tablets ® Do not take ZINPLEX TRIPLE PLUS Tablets
      • If you are hypersensitive (allergic) to zinc, vitamin C, vitamin D, selenium or ® any of the other ingredients of ZINPLEX TRIPLE PLUS Tablets (listed in section 6).

Advertències i precaucions

Zinc, selenium, vitamin C and vitamin D3 are considered safe if taken at the recommended dosage.  Health supplements should not replace a balanced diet. Taking multiple supplements and multivitamins may cause a cumulative intake of certain vitamins, minerals and other substances. Do not exceed the indicated dose except on medical advice from a health care professional. Consult your health care professional before taking other medicines. ® Other medicines and ZINPLEX TRIPLE PLUS Tablets Always tell your health care provider if you are taking any other medicine. (This includes all complementary or traditional medicines.)

• The absorption of zinc may be reduced by taking calcium, iron or magnesium containing supplements, or phosphorus-containing preparations at the same time.
• Zinc can reduce the absorption of copper when taken at the same time. If you are unsure whether you’re taking enough copper, contact your health practitioner before use.
• By taking zinc supplements with penicillamine or antibiotics such as tetracyclines or quinolones, the effectiveness of these medicines can be reduced.
• Taking zinc with ritonavir or cephalexin might reduce serum levels preventing absorption.
• Selenium and vitamin C may increase the risk of bleeding if used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet medicines.
• Vitamin D might reduce the effectiveness of cholesterol lowering medicines such as statins.
• Taking calcipotriene (used to treat psoriasis), thiazide diuretics (used to treat water retention or blood pressure), calcium or phosphates with Vitamin D increases the risk for hypercalcemia.
• Vitamin C and vitamin D should not be taken with aluminium antacids as it can increase aluminium levels.
• Vitamin C might increase blood levels of estrogens.
• Vitamin C can increase levothyroxine (used to treat hypothyroidism) absorption. ® ZINPLEX TRIPLE PLUS Tablets with food and drink ® Taking ZINPLEX TRIPLE PLUS Tablets with milk containing products might reduce the absorption of zinc.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding and fertility
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, please consult your doctor, pharmacist or other health care ® provider for advice before taking ZINPLEX TRIPLE PLUS Tablets. Zinc, vitamin C and vitamin D are distributed into breast milk and therefore supplied to breastfed infants. Driving and using machines ® ZINPLEX TRIPLE PLUS Tablets will most likely not affect the ability to drive or operate machinery.

How to take ZINPLEX TRIPLE PLUS Tablets

Do not share medicines prescribed for you with any other person. ® Always take ZINPLEX TRIPLE PLUS Tablets exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The usual dose is:
Adults : Take 1 tablet daily with a meal. ® It is recommended to take ZINPLEX TRIPLE PLUS Tablets at the same time every day for best results. Take two hours before or after you take other medicines. Consult a relevant health care provider for use beyond 3 months. ® If you take more ZINPLEX TRIPLE PLUS Tablets than you should In the event of overdosage, consult your doctor or pharmacist. If neither is available, contact the nearest hospital or poison centre. ® If you forget to take ZINPLEX TRIPLE PLUS Tablets Do not take a double dose to make up for forgotten individual doses.

Possibles efectes secundaris

® ZINPLEX TRIPLE PLUS Tablets can have side effects. ® Not all side effects reported for ZINPLEX TRIPLE PLUS Tablets are included in this leaflet. Should your general health worsen or if you experience any ® untoward effects while taking ZINPLEX TRIPLE PLUS Tablets, please consult your health care provider for advice. ® If any of the following happens, stop taking ZINPLEX TRIPLE PLUS Tablets and contact your doctor immediately or go to the casualty department at your nearest hospital:

• swelling of the hands, feet, ankles, face, lips and mouth or throat, which may cause difficulty in swallowing or breathing,
• rash or itching,
• desmais

These are all very serious side effects. If you have them, you may have had a ® serious reaction to ZINPLEX TRIPLE PLUS Tablets. You may need urgent medical attention or hospitalisation.

Tell your doctor if you notice any of the following:

• abdominal cramps, diarrhoea, metallic taste, nausea and vomiting;
• gastric discomfort, headache and rash;
• esophagitis and heartburn. If you notice any side effects not mentioned in this leaflet, please inform your doctor or pharmacist.

Store all medicines out of reach of children.

• Store at or below 25 °C, in a cool dry place.

• Return all unused medicine to your pharmacist.
• Do not dispose of unused medicine in drains or sewerage systems (e.g. toilets).

• The active substances per tablet are: Ascorbic acid 97 % 515,47 mg ( providing 500 mg Vitamin C) Zinc picolinate 119,2 mg (providing 25 mg elemental Zinc) Selenium Amino Acid Chelate 2 % 3 mg (providing 60 μg elemental Selenium) Cholecalciferol 600 IU (providing 15 μg Vitamin D3)
• The other ingredients are: Dicalcium phosphate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate® What ZINPLEX TRIPLE PLUS Tablets look like and contents of the pack ® ZINPLEX TRIPLE PLUS Tablets are white with brown speckles, oblong shaped tablets (caplet), scored on one side. The score line is only to facilitate breaking  for ease of swallowing and not to divide into equal doses. ® ZINPLEX TRIPLE PLUS Tablets are packed in a sealed white plastic securitainer with a dark yellow flip-top cap, containing a sponge and silica gel sachet.
