This manual provides essential information for the safe and proper use, installation, and maintenance of your CYBEX Silver Aton B i-Size Infant Car Seat. 4. Configuració i instal·lació

4.1. Newborn Insert

The newborn insert provides optimal support and a flatter lying position for very small infants (up to 60 cm). It should be used for newborns and removed when your child outgrows it to provide more space.

• To install: Place the insert into the car seat, ensuring it sits flush against the backrest and seat base.
• To remove: Simply lift the insert out of the car seat.

4.2. Headrest and Harness Adjustment

The headrest and harness system adjust simultaneously to 11 different positions, ensuring a perfect fit as your child grows.

• Locate the headrest adjustment lever, usually at the back or top of the headrest.
• Squeeze the lever and pull the headrest upwards or push it downwards to the desired height.
• Ensure the shoulder straps are at or just below your child's shoulders.

• To extend: Pull the canopy forward from its stored position.

4.4. Vehicle Installation with ISOFIX Base M (Sold Separately)

For enhanced safety and ease of installation, the Aton B i-Size can be installed using the CYBEX Base M (sold separately).

• Ensure the ISOFIX connectors on the base are extended.
• Align the connectors with the ISOFIX anchorage points in your vehicle and push until they click into place. Green indicators will confirm correct attachment.
• Extend the load leg to the vehicle floor until it is firmly supported. A green indicator will confirm correct positioning.
• Place the Aton B i-Size car seat onto the Base M until it clicks securely. Check for green indicators on the base.
• Always check for a secure fit by pulling on the car seat and base.

4.5. Vehicle Installation with Vehicle Seat Belt

The Aton B i-Size can also be installed using your vehicle's 3-point seat belt.

• Place the car seat rear-facing on the vehicle seat.
• Route the lap portion of the vehicle's 3-point seat belt through the two blue lap belt guides on the sides of the car seat.

• Pull the shoulder portion of the seat belt firmly to remove any slack, and route it through the blue shoulder belt guide at the back of the car seat.
• Ensure the seat belt is taut and the car seat is firmly secured, with minimal movement.

The integrated L.S.P. System provides enhanced safety in the event of a side-impact collision.

• Extend the L.S.P. protector on the side of the car seat closest to the vehicle door.
• Push the protector outwards until it locks into position.
• Retract the L.S.P. protector if it interferes with other passengers or if the car seat is installed in the middle seat.

• Bring the two buckle tongues together and click them into the central buckle until you hear an audible 'click'.
• Pull the adjustment strap at the front of the car seat to tighten the harness until it fits snugly around your child, ensuring no more than two fingers can fit between the harness and your child's collarbone.
• To loosen the harness, press the release button (usually located near the adjustment strap) and pull the shoulder straps forward.

5.2. Carry Handle Positions

The carry handle has multiple positions for different uses:
