Introducció

Thank you for choosing the CYBEX Aton B2 i-Size infant car seat. This manual provides essential information for the correct installation, use, and maintenance of your car seat. Please read it thoroughly before use and keep it for future reference. This car seat is designed for infants from birth up to approximately 24 months, with a maximum weight of 13 kg (45 cm - 87 cm).

WARNING: Never leave your child unattended in the vehicle. Installation of this car seat on the front passenger seat with an activated front airbag is NOT PERMITTED.

• Always ensure the car seat is securely installed according to the instructions.
• Ensure the child is properly secured in the harness system.

Configuració i instal·lació

The CYBEX Aton B2 i-Size can be installed using two methods: with an ISOFIX base (sold separately) or with the vehicle's 3-point seat belt.

1. Preparing the Car Seat

• Newborn Insert: For infants up to 60 cm, use the removable newborn insert to provide optimal support and a flatter lying position. Remove it when your child outgrows it.
• Ajust del reposacaps: The headrest is adjustable to 11 positions. Adjust it so that the shoulder straps are at or slightly below your child's shoulders. The harness system automatically adapts with the headrest adjustment.

2. Installation with ISOFIX Base (e.g., Isofix Base One)

For the most secure and convenient installation, use a compatible ISOFIX base (sold separately).

1. Place the ISOFIX base on the vehicle seat.
2. Extend the ISOFIX connectors and push them into the ISOFIX anchor points in your vehicle until they click into place. Green indicators will confirm correct connection.
3. Adjust the load leg to the vehicle floor until it is firmly supported. A green indicator will confirm correct positioning.
4. Place the Aton B2 i-Size car seat onto the ISOFIX base until it clicks securely into place. Check for green indicators on the base to confirm correct attachment.

3. Installation with Vehicle Seat Belt

If an ISOFIX base is not used, the car seat can be installed using the vehicle's 3-point seat belt.

1. Place the car seat rear-facing on the vehicle seat.
2. Pull out the vehicle's 3-point seat belt and route the lap belt portion through the blue belt guides on both sides of the car seat.

4. Pull the shoulder belt portion firmly and route it through the blue belt guide at the back of the car seat.
5. Ensure the seat belt is taut and the car seat is firmly secured, with minimal movement.

1. Press the harness release button (usually located at the front of the seat) and pull the shoulder straps forward to loosen the harness.

2. Ús de la marquesina

The car seat features an XXL canopy with UPF 50+ protection against sun and wind.

• To extend the canopy, simply pull it forward from its stored position.
• To retract the canopy, push it back until it is fully folded.

3. Side-Impact Protection (L.S.P. System)

The Linear Side-impact Protection (L.S.P.) system is integrated into the car seat shell to absorb impact forces in the event of a side collision.

• Ensure the L.S.P. system is extended on the side closest to the vehicle door.
• To extend the L.S.P. protector, simply pull it outwards until it clicks into place.
• To retract it, press the release button and push it back in.

4. Carry Handle Positions

The carry handle has multiple positions for carrying, installation, and stability.

• Carrying Position: Handle fully upright.

• Reclined Position: Handle fully rotated back for stability when placed on the floor.

Manteniment

1. Neteja

• Fundes de tela: The fabric covers are removable and machine washable at 30°C on a delicate cycle. Refer to the care label on the fabric for specific instructions. Do not tumble dry.
• Parts de plàstic: Clean plastic parts with a mild detergent and warm water. Do not use harsh cleaning agents or solvents.

Resolució de problemes

• El seient del cotxe sembla fluix després de la instal·lació: Ensure all ISOFIX connectors are fully engaged (green indicators visible) or that the vehicle seat belt is pulled taut through all designated guides. Re-read the installation section carefully.
• Harness Difficult to Tighten/Loosen: Check for any twists in the harness straps. Ensure the harness release button is fully pressed when loosening.
• Child Appears Uncomfortable: Verify that the headrest and harness height are correctly adjusted for your child's size. Ensure the newborn insert is used if your child is under 60 cm.
• Canopy Not Extending/Retracting Smoothly: Check for any obstructions or fabric caught in the mechanism.
