Cut the pipe squarely, remove any burrs, mark the proper insertion depth using a depth gauge, and push the pipe firmly into the Tectite fitting until it reaches the marked depth line. No soldering or special tools are required.
Use a Tectite removal tool or disconnect clip. Place the tool around the pipe next to the fitting, press the tool toward the fitting to release the grab ring, and pull the pipe out.
Tectite fittings are generally compatible with Copper, CPVC, and PEX piping. When using PEX, a tube support liner must be inserted into the pipe before connection.
